Why We Like The 45NRTH Wolvhammer MTN 2-Bolt Cycling Boot
Built for fatbiking in extreme winter conditions, the 45NRTH Wolvhammer MTN Boot keeps our feet warm and dry while providing efficient power transfer to your clipless pedals. 200g of PrimaLoft insulation in the lining keeps our feet warm in frigid conditions, and a roomy toe box promotes comfort and extra insulation. Aerogel on the footbed provides extra insulation that maintains compatibility with custom insoles and helps to seal out the cold from the metal cleats. The closure is a BOA dial that provides a wide range of adjustment. The fiberglass-injected nylon sole provides a stiff platform for quick power transfer to the pedals along with a high degree of impact resistance. The outsole is made of grippy rubber lugs that are infused with anti-slip microglass, providing unwavering traction for those times when you have to hike-a-bike in icy conditions.

Poor fit, Poor design, Damaged goods

Upon receipt of these 'new' boots and based on another review, 1st thing I did was inspect the liner pull tabs for damage. Indeed, they were both torn from somebody else yanking on them to get the liners out of the boot, or just trying to get the boots on. Serious design flaw and disappointing that I got a pair of boots that somebody returned and weren't inspected properly before putting them back up for sale. US Mens 11 = 44 on their size chart. Went up 1/2 my usual 10.5 figuring an 11 would leave room for thick socks. Nope, not even close. Their size chart is way off. Returning this item and will explore other options.

Disappointed
The boots are wonderful, 5 stars, but I’m extremely disappointed in Backcountry’s quality department. I received a pair of boots that had a disgusting amount of pet hair on the inside of the boot and some on the outside. Clearly a return that wasn’t inspected at all.

Beware of Weak Pull Strap Attachment
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought these boots for cold weather riding in MN. The boot liners have a sturdy pull loop on the back, but it’s sewed to the ultra thin nylon exterior of the boot liners, and it ripped the liner after only one use. Highly disappointing for a boot at this price point.
