Love the coat, works great. Roomy for extra layers if needed. Also love the hood and fit over my helmet.

Insulated with love
I have yet to test this coat out and about as I just received it, but I must say I am impressed with it already. It's got everything I could need and ask for in a coat; all the pockets you can need and functionality. It fits perfectly snug with giving some room for any layers as well and the color is amazing. I've had the same 686 coat for about 10 years until I destroyed it, and I'm excited to venture out with this new one. 686 does not disappoint!

Nice jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had a chance to try it out in the winter months yet but it was very warm when I tried it on upon delivery. The asymmetrical sides does make it a little awkward when it's not zipped up all the way. Runs a little big but I prefer it so I can layer up underneath. Overall, it's a nice jacket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ALMOST PERFECT Activity: Resort Size: L Height: 5.3-5.6 Weight: 140-170 lbs Fit True to size I’m 5’3”, 150lbs. I usually choose size L for extra sleeve length and room in the shoulders. This jacket is lightweight, warm, good-looking, and roomy enough for layers as well as a 1.5L hydration pack. Lots of functional pockets, inside and out, with outer zip-pulls large enough to operate wearing mitts or gloves. Cozy fleece-lined collar and helmet-compatible hood. Comfortable for skiing in temperatures ranging from +5C to -20C. Minus one star because the two-way front zipper is no longer a feature on this year’s Hydra.

Love my new jacket!!!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

- M
It had been about 10 years since I bought a new ski jacket. I loved my old one, but it started to get holes and was definitely time for an upgrade. I was delighted to find this option on clearance! Super comfortable and roomy, and I love the thumb hole feature in the sleeves. I'm 5'7" and weigh around 132 lbs -- I got a M because I like to have a little bit of room in my jackets and this was perfect. The sleeves are a bit longer than expected, but the coat feels like a good oversized fit, not too big but great for layering inside. I've worn it for 5 days of Spring skiing and am very happy with my purchase. Something to note is the unorthodox style of the zipper -- because it zips up and to the side, the left flap is larger than normal. I was not a fan at first because when I skied with the jacket not fully zipped the large flap was in my line of sight, which was frustrating. But as I've worn it more and figured out how to position it well, it's no longer an issue. Just be aware that it takes a few wears to loosen up the newness of the jacket to get the flap to lay flat when not fully zipped. Nevertheless, I would recommend it!!
