Why We Like The 7iDP Flex Knee Guards
We'd rather not have to stop post-crash (or crash at all) to patch up our knees, and so agree the minds behind 7iDP's Flex Knee Guards, which provide flexible but highly rugged protection for enduro riders and bike-park junkies alike. The X-Profile pad isn’t a hard shell, but it offers up nearly as much protection while being way more comfortable for pedaling, and the neoprene sleeve locks everything down without cramping your climbing style. Dual hook-and-loop straps make sure the Flex doesn’t slip and slide down your legs even if you get sweaty, because knee pads at your ankles aren’t really knee pads at all.

Great protection, VERY uncomfortable!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I was super disappointed in these knee pads. The protection is awesome and I was really encouraged by other reviews. I got them in a medium which I'm usually spot on and they were a little small and tight but not too bad. I went out for a 2 hour ride and could not even handle them because the velcro straps (top and bottom) squish into the back of the knee and rub like crazy. I ended up taking them off and putting them in my pack they rubbed so badly. The velcro straps are way too high on the bottom of the knee pad and way to low on the top. It puts those straps square into the fold of the backside of your knee. I would not recommend them at all.

They give good protection. Have had a few crashes that would have been far worse had it not been for the solid padding and coverage the pads provide. However, they get uncomfortable on longer rides as the lower straps cut into the back of my knee. Also the thigh straps are awkward to tighten as I have significant overlap of the straps. Will be switching to other pads.
