Abbey Bike Tools preHAG Derailleur Alignment Gauge

If you've been working on your bike for a while, you are well acquainted with the simple derailleur hanger and it's importance to your shift quality. The HAG has been a cornerstone tool in the Abbey catalog for a long time and it's accuracy is unparalleled in the industry. But what if you just want to check hanger alignment in a quick easy manner without removing your rear derailleur? Enter the 3D printed preHAG!

This simple tool is meant to quickly see if the derailleur cage is parallel to the cogs. It simply presses and flexes onto the largest cog and hangs down to give you a reference plane to judge if your bike is square with the world. This isn't meant to replace the accuracy of a HAG, just add an additional step that doesn't require any disassembly of the bike for those pre ride once overs.

Way too expensive even if it worked

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

An absolute useless “tool”. The gap is almost closed do it doesn’t fit on the cog. Even if it did, it doesn’t provide much assistance either. Still you need to eyeball things to some extend. The price is way too expensive for what it is. It shouldn’t cost more t hug an $5 max.
