I love black shoes!!!

Extremely comfy model
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely comfy shoe, it has a higher heel than your usual hiking shoe, however this is compensated by the ultra soft outsole, I've gone half a size up to be safe, which turned out to be a good move.

Great shoes

Best shoes I’ve experienced yet
I’ve put almost 700 miles into a pair of these shoes and swear by them. Some have complained about breathability, but these are waterproof shoes, so you’re always going to lose an element of that, if you want them completely breathable and not waterproof get the normal Trailmakers, it’s no fault of the product. - Have worn them all winter and my feet have been bone dry, predominantly off-road through long grass fields. Even now in the 20plus temps I’ve still not had sweaty feet.

Great For Keeping Feet Dry

Fantastic pair of shoes
Started walking at the start of the year and upgraded from the Terrex AX4 to the Freehiker. 2 GTX Wow - these shoes are brilliant, very comfy and eat up the miles on all different types of terrain (road, gravel, grass, mud etc) . The fit is perfect and true to size for my foot where I felt the AX4 was a little narrow. After 500miles in the shoes there is hardly any sign of wear on the Continental outsole. Shoes clean up well after a muddy session and the addition of some DWR spray will keep the Gortex in top-top condition. No wear in time required form my side providing you use some suitable socks - would highly recommend the Terrex Heat ready and Cold ready depending on weather. conditions. Have started to notice some small wear on the back of the inner heal which is not causing any discomfort just a slight aesthetic issue compared to the rest of the shoe If you are a walker or a hiker or just like the outdoors please try them. With regards to the Goretex I have not experienced any issues on breathability with the shoes, but this may have been aided by the Terrex socks
