Great to workout but….
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 10
The shoes are very comfortable for walking or working out in the gym but not so much for running as they don’t have enough support. Overall they look and feel good but not for running

I've always loved Altra's shoes but...
I've worn the HIITs for years for all things in the gym so when they finally blew out I had to at least give these a shot. Ultimately they didn't stack up to the old design. The foot shape was a little tighter than the older models, the lacing was a little off in how high up the shoe they run and the tongue of the show was too long. The biggest disappointment was the loss of stability in the heel, I loved the heel in the HIITs and how they mimicked the lone peaks in how they feather out to provide a more steady base when squatting or deadlifting. I'm loyal to altra but hope the next design stacks up to the old HIITs.

So comfortable!
5 stars for comfort. Gym. Casual. Whatever! Thumbs down for color options.

Feel great on Pickleball court
I am a 6'1" 195lb male 4.0 Pball Player recovering from Plantar. I got the Solstice XT2 to supplement my Xero shoes (love) for a little bit of cushion that I need on the court. Hope they hold up.

Good barefoot-ish shoe for light jogging and long walks
Overall great shoe, toe-box is wide enough for me. Mid-foot is a bit snug though. My only real beef is the shoe laces, they are too short! Can barely tie a bow, even 2 more inches would help a lot.

Too narrow
Good looking shoe but is too narrow through the mid foot. Toe box is not as wide as expected. Also lacking on edge support.

Pleasantly surprised. This is my go-to show for everything
I wouldn't recommend this shoe as a daily road trainer, but for crossfit or HiiTs or general athletic stuff this show is super comfy and does exactly what you want it to do. Its a great alternative to the harshness of the 5 fingers shoes. Has a little cushion for jumping boxes, burpees and the running intervals in the gym. I actually wear them around the office and at home as well and my feet feel much happier not crammed up. I actually came from the Hoka world and now I never want to look at them again. Will try Altra trail shoes next purchase.

Good, but wear out quickly
I like these shoes and wear these almost every day. I also use them at the gym 4 - 5 times pet week. The only downside is that they seem to wear out quickly around the metatarsal.

now I need a 3rd pair!
My go to shoe was reebok Nano 2.0. I was looking for a running shoe and purchased an Altra running shoe (forget the name style). It was the most comfortable shoe I ever put on. The only thing was, I wasn't used to that much cushioning. I then bought the Gym/training shoe (solstice) the shoe fit was perfect, it was the Goldie locks of cushioning, just right. Now I have to get a 3rd pair as a regular everyday shoe.

I would buy these again for sure
Love how they make my feet feel, the wider toe box is perfect, and the zero drop is great as well. Only problem is the sole is already starting to separate after having them about 3 weeks.
