Why We Like The Altra Torin 5 Leather Shoe
Altra may be a hardcore runner brand, but they've earmarked the Torin 5 Leather Shoe for walkers and those of us who want to wear the brand more casually. Like the regular Torin running shoe, this pair features balanced cushioning beneath our heels and toes with extra Altra EGO MAX foam, but its leather uppers make the Torin 5 Leather more durable and work appropriate than the typical mesh Torin. We like wearing this hybrid walking-casual shoe as an everyday shoe that encourages us to walk more naturally than traditional running shoes and casual shoes.

Love the Altra Torin!

The all-leather Torin has the great features of the Torin runners. Wide toe box, excellent cushioning, solid support. I have worn them on full-day urban excursions and been very happy.

Great fit, NOT slip resistant

I bought these a while ago and they fit great. I work in a kitchen and they’re holding up pretty well. I tried to walk on a freshly mopped floor to test out their slip grip and they’re really slippery. Whenever there are spills on the ground, I make sure to be very careful because they don’t have the best traction. My work crocs had much better slip resistance than these. Other than that I think they are very comfortable and the right support I’ve been looking for.

My favorite work shoe
I'm on my feet all day working in a restaurant kitchen. I've had 3 pairs of these shoes, they are literally the best and most comfy shoe I've found for standing all day. My feet used to ache all day in every other shoe, but these are so cushy!

Lifelong customer!
I'm a rural carrier. On my feet for hours a day. In and out of vehicle over 75 times/day. We are required to wear tie up, leather shoes. These are approved and are amazing. Fit well, light weight, and cradle your feet. Makes the day much better. Wish they came in blue, and other colors.

Best wide shoe ever for nurses!
It's really hard to find a comfortable shoe for someone with a wide toe box and narrow heel. These felt amazing since day 1, I can finally be on my feet all day long without pain!

I will buy these shoes until I die!
I WORSHIP these shoes! I'm a GM in the restaurant world and these save my life. I clock 20k steps a day in these for 6 months and then buy a new pair. The days these aren't produced anymore will be the end of me.

Tread already peeling away!!
I just bought these. It has only been 3 weeks and already the tread is pulling away from the shoe. It is a shame because the shoes are really comfortable and they saved my hip & knee issues which developed from heel to toe drop shoes.

Amazing shoes

I needed some black leather shoes for work. I’d been wearing another zero drop brand that had no cushion whatsoever and my feet were crying at the end of the day. These have a crazy thick sole, which felt so weird at first since I had already transitioned to mostly “barefoot” style shoes. I’m not sold on the barefoot idea, but I like flat shoes with room for my toes. These actually ticked all my boxes. The only weird thing is the toe rise, but I guess that’s just what you get with running shoes. I occasionally have numbness in my toes from it, but it’s been a small price to pay all things considered. These were my first pair of Altras and I will definitely be buying more.
