Good grip

Arundel Grypto bottle cage is light and well made. The cage has good grip and holds bottles securely, but not so tight it makes removal difficult. I'm confident I won't be losing bottles riding gravel. It doesn't look bulky and has a nice profile. Bottom line, it's a bottle cage that holds a water bottle.

Love the bright colors. I got purple. Almost has a "sculpture art" look when the bottle's not in it. I had been looking for a water bottle holder where the bottle pops in and out easily with one hand while peddling. (no brainer....I've been riding hundreds of miles every summer for 40+ years, and this is the first time I've had difficulty finding a SIMPLE & SECURE water bottle holder. (new bike this year & regret letting my old water bottle holder go with the old bike donated to an inner city kids program) Seems the new trend is for side loading bottle holders and the one that the bike shop put on the new bike for me was a BEAR to get my bottle in & out of while I'm riding. Downright dangerous. Had to stop just to get a drink. The guys at the bike shop told me no-one uses water bottles anymore. They use hydration paks on their waist or back with a tube. I personally, hate the sweat that builds up under those water paks & I hate the way they make the water taste, and keeping mold out of those joints & tubes is challenging! I can see the need if one is a racer, but not for this recreational rider. ..When my squeeze bottle up front runs low, I stop & refill it from the insulated thermos of cool water that I keep in my rear bike bag. This "Crypto-Cage" water bottle holder allows the bottle to pop in & out with one hand super easy while riding, and it securely holds the bottle in place with no wobble over the bumps. I must say it did give me sticker shock for a molded piece of plastic. However.....If you want an easily accessible but secure bike bottle holder, ignore the price and get this one. It functions perfectly, looks kinda cool, and there's not much out there to choose from in this category.
