Arva Ski Trip 35L pack

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Height:
5' 11"
Weight:
185

I just recently, picked up this pack and I am thrilled with all of it's features as a Splitboard and Ski pack. Right away you can feel the durability of the materials, the fabric, the stitching and the zippers all feel strong. I really like the placement of the many different compartments to store and keep items separate. For example there is 3 zippered compartments in the "brain" of the pack, one for immediate items such as a tool to fix bindings or sunscreen and snacks, another plush compartment for sunglasses and goggles, as well as a third one underneath when you open the main compartment where I keep my keys and valuables. The main compartment easily holds everything I may carry including a first aid kit, rescue sled, extra layers, repair kit, and food and water. The rescue compartment is marked with a red zipper to indicate an emergency and stores avalanche gear separate from your extra gloves or warm down jacket. On the hip belt are easy access pouches for things like an inclinometer, scraper or lip balm. This pack also has daisy chains to carry other gear, side straps to carry boards and two ice axe straps as well as the ability to carry your helmet. The Arva ST35 packs a bunch into a contoured low profile pack that fits nicely. It is a great pack for short tours and is well thought through for carrying everything on longer backcountry days. I get the impression this pack will last for years and be on many adventures to come.
