Nice Improvement
This is my second pair of Brewers, and these are crazy comfy. It's like the inside is made from silk now. I also dig the new fit around the midfoot and heel. Let's floppy and more support.

3.0 Improvements
I wore the OG Brewers as my first kayak shoe, but with some quirks I always reached for my Rasslers (love those bad boys). When I saw the 3.0 drop, I coveted the purple and decided to give the updated version a whirl - and it seems the new version fixes my previous gripes! The heel actually stays on while sitting in my boat, which is so nice. And the sizing, which previously ran small, is true to size (I'm consistently a 8.5 and it fits perfect). So nice to have this low top option for chiller days on the water/a more casual shoe than the Rassler.

My Go-To Shoe!
Love my Brewer 3.0's...from Montana Fly Fishing on the Missouri, to Minnesota Lakes, to Florida Beaches these have held up extremely, are really comfortable, look great, and provide excellent traction over a range of terrain.

Brewer 3.0 is the real deal.
Just received the Brewer 3.0 and really love them. The heal is great - definitely feel locked in vs. the previous version. Went with the Fern Green color and get complimented often. The rubber is sticky, the zero drop fit is great, and it's become my new 'everyday' shoe. Great job Astral team!

3.0 for the WIN!!
Simply an amazing spring and summer sneaker. I wear them mostly around town, and also on mellow floats down our local class II. Barefoot, wet, dry, with socks or not- it’s all good with these simple yet amazingly awesome shoes. 3.0 version adds a more comfortable heel which also seems to stay put when swimming. Recommend!!

Lots to love
This is a really great shoe. I typically wear only the most minimal barefoot-style shoes, so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the bit of cushioning this one offers. The wide toe box and zero-drop aspects still help my feet feel themselves in this shoe. I was pleasantly surprised. It'd be an amazing shoe to help folks transition from traditional footwear to the barefoot end of the spectrum, and it just might be where many folks land for good, as truly barefoot shoes do have their limitations in our ultra-paved world. The shoe seems to run on the larger side. I am typically a 7.5-8, but I'd say in this shoe I'm more a 7-7.5. They'll be perfect over my drysuit's built-in booties, and I'm looking forward to giving the extra grippy soles their first wet-rock trial. The Aurora Purple is a fly color and has caught the eye of more than one savvy paddler friend already.

Most comfortable and grippy shoes ever!
This is my second pair and I only worry that they will be unavailable in the future. I have a lot of foot problems and these keep me running and working out.

Small Fit... Nice shoe
Order these as one size larger. They are a small fit. Not true to size!!

Brewer review
The shoes are great but they fit small. Also the toe box is not as wide as I was hoping. But overall is a good shoe if you can get the fit right. I was unable to return/exchange for a different size due to have worn them (1) time before deciding they were snug.

No longer a good fit for wide feet
Astrals have always been my go-to for river days, and they also make a fantastic travel shoe! However, the comfort and fit of the 2.0 pales in comparison to the older version. I will be holding on to my older pair as long as humanly possible because I can barely tolerate a full day in the 2.0s. The new versions are MUCH narrower and less comfortable, especially when sockless. Folks with narrow feet, I cannot recommend these shoes enough! Folks that used to enjoy the roominess of the older Brewess, look elsewhere. (The Loyaks are little less structured, so can still work well for us!)
