The Astral Brewess 2 Water Shoe is designed for rafting trips and light hiking, and provide a warm-weather alternative to women who prefer closed-toe protection and support compared to sandals. Built with hydrophobic canvas that remains comfortable as it is exposed to water, and breathable mesh to keep your feet ventilated in the summer heat, this shoe is thoughtfully designed for amphibious adventures. Using Astral's Balanced Geometry design, the EVA midsole gives you medium arch support and a leveled heel-to-ball foot bed. The G.15 premium sole is made with a softer rubber that easily contours to varied terrain and provides reliable traction on wet surfaces.

Cute & Comfy
These came quickly and I wore them all over Costa Rica. Perfect for waterfalls and beaches. They are true to size and were comfortable.

Most comfortable and grippy shoes ever!
This is my second pair and I only worry that they will be unavailable in the future. I have a lot of foot problems and these keep me running and working out.

No longer a good fit for wide feet
Astrals have always been my go-to for river days, and they also make a fantastic travel shoe! However, the comfort and fit of the 2.0 pales in comparison to the older version. I will be holding on to my older pair as long as humanly possible because I can barely tolerate a full day in the 2.0s. The new versions are MUCH narrower and less comfortable, especially when sockless. Folks with narrow feet, I cannot recommend these shoes enough! Folks that used to enjoy the roominess of the older Brewess, look elsewhere. (The Loyaks are little less structured, so can still work well for us!)

Perfect shoe
These are the best shoes I’ve owned—and I should know, since this is my fifth pair! They’re sturdy and flexible, fit great for my narrow feet, and keep on keeping on for mile after mile.

Great for sailing!
So far so great: grippy natural rubber siped soles, roomy wide toe box that doesn’t pinch, lightweight canvas construction that doesn’t get waterlogged like most sneakers & should dry fairly quickly, good midsole for padding when bouncing around on sailboat decks with lots of metal fittings. Lovely light blue color that is essentially a neutral & goes with everything I own. My only question left is how long will the soles last before going hard…? If it is longer than a year that these will hands-down beat the Big Brand boat shoes. And the 11 is sized roomy enough to fit Rocky Socks and wool socks inside, meaning I don’t need to haul around seaboots for most coastal sailing. 10/10 I love them so far!

Footwear that ensures you wander comfortably

Tested for toughness and grip in the Bahamas
These offer great grip, excellent support, and easy on and off. Being out on the water in the ocean with all kinds of conditions, including needle-like rocks, my feet feel secure. They take a bit of care to get sugar sand off, and a bit of time to dry, but it’s worth it for the foot protection.
