Incredibly Light & Breathable
These are the lightest and breathable PFD’s I’ve ever owned…and clients love them as well!

Excellent design!
As recreational paddlers, this vest is perfect. We both now have the same model. The pockets are great for carrying / securing a whistle and car keys, an attached knife and probably more if one wants. My favorite feature is the flotation in the back is above where my seat hits so it’s very comfortable. The arm holes leave plenty of room for arm movement and since I’m a bit short waisted, the length in front is perfect as well. Sturdy fabric that looks like it will last forever. Great product!

Darn...too big

I'm looking for a PFD for kayaking. My seat back is high so I was looking forward to this Astral. I am 5' 2" and 34c. Unfortunately it is not available in XS so it ran large on me. Also the sides were very wide...my arms would have rubbed with each stroke. Perhaps a smaller version would have eliminated the chafing?

Safety without the bulk
So comfortable and lightweight I basically forgot I was wearing it. The zipper can be a bit tricky to line up but it seems durable and doesn't get too hot in the sun (as most zippers do).

EV-Eight is awesome!
I love everything about this life jacket. It is easily adjustabe and super comfortable to wear for all day paddles. It also helps me stay cool on really hot days, and with it's adjustability, I can layer up for paddling on those cooler days. On top of all that, the color is so pretty.

Building on the franchise that is Astral's top selling PFD model, the EV-Eight takes all of the features of the original V-Eight model, and wraps it in a Bluesign approved recycled polyester face fabric - helping to achieve Astral's mission of protecting as much soil and water as possible. The EV-Eight features a breathable mesh back and airescape foam in the front for the most breathable option in the Astral PFD lineup. Lightweight and extremely packable, this model is also great for pairing with packrafts for flat or slow water adventures.
