Loyak AC Water Shoe - Men's

Not for serious active adventure

I bought these for a trip to the Galapagos where I needed water shoes with good traction, a closed toe, and dried quickly. While I think these may be useful for less demanding applications, I would not recommend these for an active adventure Pros: Comfortable, especially with thin wool ankle docks Great traction Breathable Cons: Thin sole, not great on small sharp rocks. After three hikes, rubber got chipped, not sure how long they would last Not easy to get on and off, and no need for the laces, which just get in the way. No way to get them off by using your feet when wet Do not dry easily, even when removing the insoles. They do not take dampness well, and after using them for three days, began to stink

Snowing outside, not time for open shoes

Fit seems great, wearing in house. Waiting on spring to try these out.

The Loyak A/C has all the features of the original Loyak, but features an upper made of rip-stop mesh making for an even airier and faster drying product. The tight micro mesh still does a great job of keeping small pebbles and rocks out, but will hold virtually no water and dries even faster than the original when wet. Great for warmer waters, coastal adventures, or anywhere a comfortable amphibious shoe could wander - it also doubles as a great option for a lightweight backpacking / travel shoe that can pack up small & light in your bag or pack for adventures at your destination.
