Love ‘em! Can’t stop buyin’em!
I have TOO MANY loyaks because I love them so much. Also because I lost the left one on my second pair when I swam one day. They are form fitting so I can smoosh my giant feet into my tiny kayak plus they’re comfy and I wear them to work and to the river. 👏🏼

Best sailing shoe
I bought my first pair of Loyaks about 5 years ago for kayaking but didn’t like my feet being soggy so stuck with flip flops. After spending too much money on Sperry’s, Helly Hanson, Addidas over the years for sailing shoes that all lost their grip after a few months of wear, I used my old Loyaks for the past two months of sailing on our new boat. I was confident in their grip on wet (and dry!) decks, I could feel the deck level anchor controls with my toes, my shoes didn’t get caught in lines as I stepped over them, no pain or damage to my toes when I kicked deck hardware by mistake, no pressure on my bunion, I felt like an eight year old climbing on railings, no sweaty feet, I can wear them with or without socks and it’s really like being barefoot but with protection! I just purchased the all weather Loyaks for myself and a pair of the originals for my husband for Christmas. I’ve always liked Astral, now I LOVE Astral! Thanks for making a great functional and attractive shoe!

Purchased Twice!!
As a size11, this helps keep foot size manageable in kayak. Then can scamper over rocks and sand without issue. Keeps muck away from my feet at certain launch sites. Had first pair for 2 years then lost them. No second guessing of what to replace with.

Little tight on top but great shoes. No complaint
Great shoes! Tad tight on top of foot, but they are great for indoor and outdoor. I work in a relatively wet and cold environment but these are breathable without restriction. If you’re new to barefoot shoes these are probably gonna be the best gateway shoes to adjust your gait.

My 5th pair!
This is my 5th pair of Loyak W's. I discovered this water shoes when I began my kayak outfitting business 5 years ago, and I have been thrilled with them. Due to heavy use, I eventually wear through the soles of each pair, but apart from that natural wear and some sun fading, they look and function as well on their retirement day as on day one. I rinse them off with clean water at the end of each day, and that has kept them from getting any funky smells. I also receive compliments on them regularly. Water shoes that function perfectly AND get compliments? Pretty rare.
