Wont be my last pair of these
Theses TR1s are great. I think they are the the most comfortable Astral I've tried so far. The others I’ve gotten are perfect for what I bought them for. This is my fourth different kind and only one of those I probably won’t buy again. I have 7 pairs total. Great shoes and great company in my opinion

Lightweight Hiker
Nice, lightweight trail shoes! Perfect for hiking in warm or cool weather. Breathes nicely, forms to foot well. Good grip on the trail.

Good overall performance
Overall, this is a good shoe. However, it runs small and narrow. I typically wear a size 14 wide, and while the shoe is comfortable, it feels a bit tight along the sides. That said, if you have narrow feet, this shoe would likely be a perfect fit for you.

Great feel and very comfortable
Awesome soles. I always find most zero drop shoes try to have a minimalist sole, which leaves my feet tired

Just bought my second pair
An amazing all-round river shoe! These shoes look sharp, grip well, and have just the right balance of flexibility in the boat and support for on the trail.

TR1 Mesh, Missouri Ozark Streams review
The TR1 Mesh is true to size and are a very comfortable shoe I matched mine with a pair of Cressi Ultra Stretch Neoprene Socks, 1.5mm, which kept my feet warm in Missouri's spring-fed Ozark Mountains streams. They kept every rock out. The one drawback to the shoes is they are sand magnates. Luckily, the neoprene socks kept the sand off my feet but i have to stoo fishing, wading and exploring long enough to dump out sand. As long as you have gravel bottom streams or larger stones, you will love these shoes. I do want to mention when larger stones are covered in moss and super slippery, boots with metal cleats work better than these shoes.

Worth the buy
Overall great shoes! My only complaint is the grip in a stream setting. For most applications there is plenty of grip, but if you were using them exclusively as a wading shoe for fishing it may not meet your expectations. Maybe not the intention of the design but it is what I bought them for. Overall a great buy.

I purchased these for a trip to Hawaii. I needed a pair of shoes that would cover a variety of activities. Trips to town, light hiking, waterfall exploration, rocky beaches, zip lining, tubing... these shoes did it all. They are light weight, they drain and dry quickly, and they pass as perfectly normal looking sneakers. The grip is also great in wet and dry conditions. The perfect shoes if you want to pack light like I do.
