Using Airescape technology, the V-Eight Fisher Personal Flotation Device takes the recipe of Astral's long-time best-seller PFD, and added some fishing-friendly features to keep anglers cool on the water. Vent ports at the front and back allow trapped body heat to escape during a muggy river trip, with contoured foam and a mesh liner that promotes cooling airflow. For further comfort, the vest is fitted with a soft EVA foam back panel designed to cushion your back against your kayak.

Outstanding
The vest is comfortable, lightweight and well ventilated. I spent a long day on the river fishing and rowing a pontoon boat. The compact design clears the seat back so you can lean back into the seat without the vest being in the way and casting is easy. The pockets and attachment points are handy. I like it.

Love the pockets
I'm 6' 170 lbs and the medium fits great. It is comfortable to wear all day and adjusts in enough places to make it fit over all kids of layers or no layers! Good in a boat seat too.

Great for Kayaking Fishing
Great fishing kayak life jacket. Lots of pockets for storage and very roomy. Unobstructed when paddling.

Perfect PFD
The Astral V8 is perfect for kayak fishing! The fit is like a glove, while still allowing for great air flow. The streamlined design of the Astral PFD’s makes it easy to paddle, cast a fishing rod, or even get back on the kayak in the event of an unexpected swim. I’ve used Astral products since 2014 and can attest to their quality firsthand. I wouldn’t be on the water without my Astral PFD.

After tons of research I finally settled on the Astral V-Eight Fisher. I live in the southeast and primarily kayak during the summer months. I wanted a vest that was comfortable during long days on the water and wouldn’t leave me sweating all over. This one has performed flawlessly over my 1 full season with it. It’s in perfect shape even though it’s had some hard days on the water. I’m more than impressed so far.
