Why We Like The BC Link
Apart from changing conditions and gear malfunctions, one of biggest variables we'll encounter in the backcountry is group communication. So, we prepare by bringing the BCA BC Link Group Communication System. This lightweight microphone and radio/battery pack keeps the lines of communication open whether we're making an on-mountain change of course while backpacking or coordinating search and rescue efforts in the event of an emergency.
Designed to fit neatly with BCA's Stash series of packs, this two-way radio will grab onto any ol' pack you have. Both units are designed to be water- and dust-resistant to deal with snow and storage. Equipped with 22 FRS and GMRS channels and 121 sub-channels, the BC Link delivers near-constant clarity when conveying critical information. You'll be able to stay in touch with others not lucky enough to have this little number since it is compatible with all standard FRS/GMRS radios.

Exposed controls
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Channel selector on this unit will twist if you fall and change channels. Had to duct tape it down for safety. Newer model fixes this problem.

Works great
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I’ve had this radio for years. It works great in snow, cold temps, and dirt and mud. Took a crash and broke the microphone attachment, BCA warrantied it with no problem. I’ve heard the 2.0 is better, but I can’t justify buying it after having no problems with this radio. I am impressed with the range, and the battery life always lasts me all day on a fresh charge

Poor Range Poor Battery life- looks cool

I bought two at the same time. I ride areas with a lot of trees and there is poor reception. 1/4 mile is pushing it. One of the radios functions worse than the other. I can hear people talking to me, but they cannot hear my response and then the radio cuts out. The clip doesn't stay attached to my shoulder strap and the mic flaps around.

Cool but

These have great functionality and battery life is unbelievable, but range is absolutely terrible. The bang for buck is not quite there even at a discounted price. If you are in close range, great, but anything outside of half mile or less, terrible. Would not buy these again.

AWESOME RADIOS
These radios are so user friendly. Easy to set up, charge and put together. Great for traveling in the backcountry. The first time I used the radios was for filming and I was impressed with the range and clarity. These can change a backcountry mission and make adventures in the wild safer and more reliable!

Works Great
Bought this unit even though there's a newer model available. We used it while snowmobiling in the backcountry. It worked great. Saved a little cash too.

Are these Bluetooth compatible and if not, do you plan on making some in the future that could pair with buds?
