Streamline ski travel with the All-Around Double Ski & Snowboard Rolling Bag

"My partner and I love not having to bring two board bags on our trips, and the streamlined roller design makes flying with equipment less cumbersome. We also didn't realize how much we would appreciate that the Backcountry Boot Bag can attach right to this bag." —Gearhead® Expert Alex

When it’s time to hit the slopes far from home, the Backcountry All-Around Double Ski & Snowboard Rolling Bag makes sure our gear travels as safely as we do. Whether we’re jetting off to a powder-filled resort or road-tripping to backcountry terrain, this bag’s generous capacity fits two pairs of skis or snowboards with ease. Its durable materials and padded interior provide peace of mind, while the wheels and ergonomic handles make hauling gear a seamless process.

Beyond its protective features, we appreciate the thoughtful touches like multiple interior compartments for securing poles, helmets, and boots. The water-resistant design keeps moisture out, and reinforced seams hold up to repeated travel abuse. With this rolling bag, our ski and snowboard adventures begin the moment we pack it up.

Great features, poor execution

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Used it on two trips last year. With only 1 pair of skis it rides off balance, packed per the instructions it was completely off balance, riding all to one side. Very wonky to navigate through the airport with. I ended up getting heavy rubber bands to collapse my bindings and laid my skis flat for the journey home, and it worked somewhat better. Worked better w two pair of skis on my second trip. Was very excited about the companion boot bag that strapped to the top, but again, it wasn’t great. It was loose, and shifted around quite a bit, adding to my difficulty navigating the Frankfurt airport. Frankly it was a pretty frustrating experience primarily bc of the two bags and their poor integration and design. My third major gripe is the pull handle is too flexible and cut into my hand. If I had kept the bag I was planning on getting a short section of narrow pvc pipe to slip over the end to make it more comfortable to pull. However during the first trip an attachment loop blew out and on the second a pretty concerning hole developed at the foot of the bag so I filed a warranty claim. Was going to give the system another chance but Backcountry’s normally stellar customer service fumbled the ball. I did get full store credit though. I really wanted to like these bags, I could have prob made them work (at least better) if not for the durability issues. Unfortunately they need a pretty comprehensive refinement and redesign. Would not recommend.

Does not hold up

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bag is very large and can comfortably fit your skis and boots and any clothing / ski accessories that you might want to add in. I like the waterproof material of the bag, but I wish the entire bag was made of it. It's nice that the bag is adjustable for skis of different lengths, but the pull handle that is on the same end is very uncomfortable to drag throughout the airport. Product description: "Updated materials boost durability for the long-haul" - just not there. I barely tugged at the handle at the bottom of the bag and it instantly ripped off at the seams. This does not make me confident to carry the bag from the other handles. Additionally, after one flight, i can already start to see the wear and tear. Overall, the bag is spacious and can easily fit everything that you would want to pack, but don't expect it to hold up for very long.

Pretty mid

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This bag is spacious and can fit most skis, boots, and a ton of gear. It’s also is a little more affordable than other bags. I wanted to like it but the quality just isn’t there. Two weeks ago I packed it up and took it out to CO for some early season days and when I arrived at DEN it already had ripped seams and punctures. My wife’s bag that we’ve had for years(different brand) made it through just fine. TL, DR: will fit skis and gear just don’t expect it to hold up long.
