Stressful dealing w/ customer service
This is a review for the customer service. Ive been a customer since 2019. I ordered a base layer. Didn’t like it and decided to return it for a refund. I asked if I could get store credit or just a regular refund. I sent it return back and waited a week to see if I got a refund. I emailed a couple times and was told the refund was done and just keep an eye out. 2 weeks later still no refund. I called customer service and was told that the refund was sent. I was told the refund was sent to an unknown credit card number which I’ve never heard of. I have no idea why they would do that. I have done a bunch of returns and it was always easy through my PayPal and debit card. This time it was just back and forth with calls and emails. People telling me the refund has already been sent. I explained to 8 different customer service people and maybe 10 different emails showing my debit card info tied to my PayPal account. Then eventually they would say they refunded it to my Wells Fargo credit card and gave me a transaction ID number. I don’t even know how they did that because my credit card from Wells Fargo isn’t even connected with PayPal. I was told to contact Wells Fargo and get information about my refund. I did that and Wells Fargo had zero info on my refund. I told 5 or 6 people whoever did my refund sent it to the wrong card info. Every single person would tell me the same thing. Once the refund was sent they can no longer help me. Well the issue is they sent my refund somewhere else and basically they can’t help me anymore. Over 1 month later and 10 different emails and 8 to 10 different phone calls getting no where I finally talked to a nice lady who put me on hold a couple times and actually got it done. I explained to her for the 10th time my refund was sent somewhere else and asked if I talked to PayPal and Wells Fargo and I said yes to both. I opened a dispute through PayPal and was denied and I’m not sure if the back country lady helped with the dispute in PayPal but it was over turned after I got off the phone. I was ready to give up because everyone refused to get my money back after someone made a mistake of sending the refund somewhere else. Worst experience in dealing with that many people who kept telling me the same thing. 85 dollars is a lot just to lose but I was more angry in everyone trying to so hard not to give me my refund after THEY made the mistake. This will be my last time shopping with back country after this horrible experience trying to get my refund back.

Nice!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I love the fit and fabric, only bad is one of the seams is unraveling after two uses.
