Don’t waste your money

Despite the fabric being comfortable and breathable, it’s not enough to justify purchasing these specific pants. The cut of these are extremely off. I will admit I’m fairly short at 5’3” but these pants come up to my chest. If I try to pull them down so the waistband is roughly where it is sitting on the model in the photos, the crotch then is completely baggy and sitting in the middle of my thighs. The material also stretches out within minutes of wearing them, creating a saggy look in your butt. I’m disappointed that I wasted so much money on these. They leave so much to be desired and I now have a pair of pants that’s so long and out of shape that it creates discomfort to wear them, resulting in me never reaching for them in my closet. Do better, Backcountry.

Sizing way off and cut weird

These pants are definitely one size smaller than listed. The crotch is really really long in these and looks super weird. It would make sense if they had a super wide leg but they don’t. Definitely size up if you want any chance of these fitting. If you buy the shorts version, which I did, those are actually true to size. So this is definitely poor quality control and not just this company’s sizing.

I bought these in a medium, my usual size, and they fit well. On me, they are full-length because I am 5’1” and too lazy to make alterations unless it’s essential. For reference, I weigh around 135-138lbs, and my waist is 28.5- 29 inches. I am pretty happy with these pants. The shorts, on the other hand, were at least 2” too big around the waist in a medium. In small, they fit, but I thought maybe I would like them To be a little larger through the hips and thighs. I should have kept the size small shorts. I ended up reordering them. I find it strange that they are so different, and there is a very significant difference between the sizes of the shorts. I can’t be sure about the pants, but I would suggest if you believe they might fit slightly better in another size but they do fit you, that you keep them until you get the other size and try them on. I have my fingers crossed that the sizes are consistent within the item, or I could be making a mistake (again). Overall, they are cute for the price, and they will be helpful in this summer’s hot weather.

I ordered these in black in a size small based on the photos and also because that is my usual go to size. They were very small, and not flowy at all. Returned. These pants would be great if the sizing wasn’t so difficult to figure out and not worth paying the return shipping fee to do so.

First off, everyone who has written a review has said it runs small. It most definitely does not. I normally don't write reviews, but the reviews on this led me wrong. I size up based on what people were saying. It is most definitely TRUE TO SIZE. For reference, I am 5'4", athletic build, and weigh 138-140lbs. I ordered a M and they almost fall off my waist! I could size down to a S or maybe even an XS. My normal size is around a 4 for reference. I hope this helps people and you are led astray because other that than, these pants are super lightweight and airy which I love!

I should have listened to the single review that said these ran so small. I’m actually not sure how the model is wearing a small and they look they oversized? They were extremely fitted and not flowy or the fit of what you’d expect from pants like this. Also the high waist in the front is almost too high. Doesn’t feel like you could front tuck your shirt but also hard to imagine when they don’t fit how they fit on the model. Very disappointed. Considered exchanging for another size but not sure that’ll be enough.

I’m usually a medium 8/10 and these were so tight and unflattering. I ordered at medium, I think to get the loose fit I’d need at XL. Sad, there are no more sizes. This is the pant I’ve been looking for!
