Why We Built The Backcountry Meltdown Water-Resistant Pant
"It's not every day that you find a cozy pair of joggers that are also water-resistant. These rock as a midlayer on colder laps." —Gearhead® Expert Jo
Whether we rock it as a warm-up for the gym, layer it under our shell bibs on a ski day, or slip into it on a lazy Sunday morning, the Backcountry Meltdown Water-Resistant Pant keeps our bottom half feeling its best both indoors and out. The polyester fleece fabric is super-soft and offers plush warmth in cool temps, while the PFC-free DWR treatment sheds any light moisture we might encounter on our day out.

Pretty Nice
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- M
- Height:
- 5' 8"
- Weight:
- 148
5'8" 150 lbs / My usual pant size: Waist 32 x Length 31 The M fit is just right. Really comfy. They are warmer than they at first appear. The tan is a pleasant color and looks just as in the photo. They appear very well made. But I would actually prefer a draw string to the rather thin shock cord. That's all I could say now but I will update when I able to go for a run etc. Seems a little expensive but maybe I will be very impressed outdoors.
