Runs very large

This coat runs really large. I tried a medium, (I’m usually wear either a medium or large top depending on style.) This would allow multiple garments underneath, arms are long and I found the zipper challenging to use even to try on. It’s a good length to cover legs and it is nice as a packable jacket for travel. I didn’t reorder as it just wasn’t that flattering and found the material uncomfortable.

Great Raincoat for Layers
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:

I bought this coat for a recent trip to Europe. I was looking for a coat that would was not bulky, that would pack well, and that was a bit longer and one that could be worn over other layers and not be snug. I was also looking for a coat that had good ventilation. This was a winner!

The perfect raincoat
- Familiarity:

I love this raincoat. The fabric is so soft and lightweight that is packs like a dream. It also drapes so nicely so it feels stylish in sprite if it's oversized shape. I want oversize so I could put it over a fleece or a puffer. I just love it and am so happy I found it as it's not a common fabric or shape

Absolutely huge; extremely light-weight

This serves my purpose as a travel jacket that can be crushed down to fit inside a purse. It's that lightweight! It is huge. I'm a women's size 12 and got a Medium, and there is at least one foot of looseness around my hips. Luckily, the sleeves can be closed with the velcro so that they aren't flapping around. The zipper is two-way, but it gets stuck really easily in the seam. Overall, still overpriced for what you get.

Roomy for this booty
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Small
Listen, I have a big butt. Other longline rain parkas I’ve owned have fit too tight around my booty, making layering impossible, and it just didn’t look right or feel comfortable. This Backcountry parka is gloriously spacious, especially in the butt, leaving me plenty of room to layer up underneath while still leaving room for movement. The look is oversized and cool. Highly recommended for folks with butts of all sizes.

Not waterproof

I just purchased this and wore it for the first time in light rain. After 45 minutes in light rain, nearly a mist, I had wet patches coming through on the back and arms.

So hard to find a truest waterproof , long rain shell jacket. I wish I could get it in more colors. Love the oversized fit so I can wear warmer clothing underneath when it’s colder out. Get lots of compliments. Please bring back in stock!

I have many rain coats and rain jackets; North Face , Patagonia, Helly Hansen, you name it I’ve go it. But this Runoff 2.5 rain parka is absolutely the best of the bunch. It’s got the asian urban chic vibe and its light weight and perfect for summer rain. It is so cool; I get so many complements and everyone wants to know where i bought it. I love this raincoat, it’s NOT sticky and uncomfortable even in the most muggy humid conditions. Buy this coat, you will be blown away but its performance.

Perfect Rain Coat for Layering
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Medium

I have been looking for a rain coat that I can layer over lightweight puffers in this crazy spring we're having, and Backcountry nailed it with this parka!! I bought the black color, and wore it for a week in the city during a rainstorm - it kept me so warm and looking so cute. I really like the slight drop in the back, and the fact that the zipper doesn't go all the way to the hem - makes walking a bit easier, although there is a 2 way zipper so you can just hike it up if that's easier too. This coat does run maybe a little large, but I love that look for layering and freedom of movement.
