We designed the Teo ALLIED Down Jacket to function as our midlayer of choice for technical ascents in search of untracked powder, and for storm laps at the resort. We filled the torso and sleeves with 800-fill ALLIED RDS-certified down because it's responsibly sourced, incredibly warm, and packable enough to zip into its own internal chest pocket when we need to chuck it in our touring packs. We also made it with water-resistant, windproof fabric for wearing on its own on snowy skintracks, helping us shelter from the elements while transitioning our gear for descending.

Very light but warm

I use this to bike commute to work in Colorado. It is over an hour each way and this jacket keeps me very warm well below freezing. To be a little nitpicky, the zippers are a little cheap and it has a bit of a boxy fit. But it is great for what how I use it!

Hey backcountry look at your video/pics
The Teo Allied jacket in the pictures and the jacket in the video (that's on the page as of 8/25/23) are very clearly two different items. Which one are people potentially purchasing? Why do you have a "Q&A" section that doesn't actually allow one to post a question such as the above question so that others might be able to see the answer? I find both things irritating so hopefully someone at backcountry will see this and correct both issues.

Great multi-use puffy !

From the top of peaks to breweries, this puffy can do it all. I wore/carried mine 104 days this past winter, it helped get the job done and keep me warm. The coldest environments that I wore them were during some brisk high-pressures in Alaska where with the wind chill it hit -25f.

Sleeves too narrow

Got this at a very attractive price but have to return it. The sleeves are incredibly narrow even I have a very slim body. I can barely put a base layer underneath. I'm 6 ft tall and 160 lbs, I ordered M. I ordered a women's size S for my wife and I felt the sleeves size are the same between men's M and women's S.

Awesome Jacket

All around great coat for conditions even below 30 degrees. I found it to be ideal for 35 degrees to even hovering at 50. It's very warm and durable. Pockets are lined nicely for extra warmth and the hood is bonus. I found the medium to be a great fit but it was slightly snug and I was worried about driving / activities / etc so decided to go with the Large and fasten the lower tie pretty snug but it works well.

I never buy these type jackets because they look dorky and I live in Los Angeles but I was surprised but this one. I'm a 5'10 male, 170 lb and the Medium jacket has a more fitted look in arms and chest area. The belly area is a little looser which is nice to have room in pockets when warming hands. Jacket is on the thinner side but warm in 45 degree weather. If you wear a thick sweater or hoodie, the jacket will be slightly tighter in the chest and arms areas. I think its meant to be worn with a lighter sweater. I got the mountain Pass color and it looks good and classy. I really like the fitted look, how thin and light it is and that it can be rolled up into a little bag. there is even a loop to clip this to a carabiner I guess. It's probably not a jacket for someone who is overweight so get a larger size than the sizing chart if you are overweight. My chest size is 38 and I got the medium. It's an almost perfect fit.

Great, stylish winter jacket

I’m 6’1” 200lb and definitely go with the XL. The sleeves on the large fit well but the body of the jacket was too snug. It would have been impossible to wear anything more than a T-shirt under the large. Overall, I love the jacket. I have received many compliments about the bright vibrant color. It’s lightweight and is very warm. Only complaint is the lack of a drawstring on the hood. With the current design, the hood essentially floats on top of your head and any forward blowing wind will inflate the hood, creating a parachute effect. Any degree of wind makes the hood useless. Still happy with the jacket, but fixing the hood is a must and would make this jacket pretty much perfect!

Really liked this jacket, and wanted to like it more, but sadly, it wouldn't work for me. Let's start with the good things. Very light, and I absolutely LOVE the hybrid down/synthetic idea. Great! And great fluff. Now let's talk about the things that just barely missed the mark for me. Your mileage may vary. First, the fabric. The face fabric and inner lining fabric are incredibly thin. Almost see through. If you hold the jacket up to the light, you can see all the insulation inside. I kind of question the durability of these fabrics. My guess is their a 10-20 denier fabric, tops. I'd recommend the designers go up to a 30D for durability. Next, the fit across the back. Any reader has to know that this is specific to my anatomy. I'm 5'8", 165-170, with an athletic body shape. Broad shoulders, a 42" chest, and a 31" waist. I had to move up to a Large, and this was just a tiny bit tight across the shoulders if I moved both my arms in front of me, like if I was bending over to pick something up off the ground. An expansion panel or a little bit of strategically placed stretch fabric would have fixed this. Next the hood. It's fine. Unremarkable. But has no adjustment. Also, the zipper. The YKK #3 doesn't inspire confidence. I'd recommend stepping up to a #5. Lastly, and the real reason I couldn't keep this: the arms are a little snug. I'm a climber, and I would say I have average-plus thickness arms. The sleeves on these are mostly fine, if I'm not wearing anything underneath, or only wearing a thin baselayer. But I'm concerned about having anything thicker on. Sadly, this was the straw on the camel's back that made me return it. This jacket is almost there, almost perfect. A few tweaks would make this a very competitive, top tier jacket.

Love This Jacket

My first down jacket and I love it. I got the "Ermine" color, which is sort of a bright tangerine/american cheese color, which I really like. Some may not, but I love it, and it is really visible which can be a plus in many situations. I am 6' 240 and I got the XXL and it fits perfect. Plenty of room for a sweater or fleece underneath if needed. I get plenty of freedom of movement with this jacket, without being saggy or bulky. The only downside for me is the hood; it is nice and big, which is great, but the stretch cord adjustment is very odd- tightens it more around the crown of the head, rather than around your face, which is important in high wind situations. It is not worth docking it a full star though, so it still gets 5 stars. Love how light it is; feels like I am wearing a T-shirt, yet keeps me warm and cozy in the middle of winter.
