Please bring these back!!! These are amazing hiking shorts with super functional and spacious pockets! They also dry super quickly! I have used these for a few months now and really wish they’d restock the mediums. I do agree they run one size larger… I am normally a large but like the medium.

Bought these in the tan color and sized down one size based on previous reviews. Sizing down was the right move and I really like the rise, fit, and coverage the shorts offer. Medium weight stretchy material moves with you but not off of you — also great. Tragic flaw discovered the first time I wore them on the trail. Front zipper pockets are constructed so that the teeth of the zipper run out about 1/2” before the top of the pocket and there isn’t a stopper to prevent the zipper slider from going over the end of the teeth and getting super stuck on the zipper tape. Which I discovered midway into a full day hike when I zipped my phone into the pocket and then couldn’t get it the slider back down to open the pocket. The only solution that worked to get my phone out and to allow me to move comfortably again was to pull the slider further up and fully off the zipper tape and teeth. Really loved them up til this point.

I have wide hips and thicker thighs and have such a hard time finding shorts that fit. Especially athletic shorts. These are looser around my thighs and don’t ride up when I walk. They’re light and breathable. They might fit a little on the larger side having the adjustable waist fixes that problem so I wouldn’t recommend sizing down. Very happy!

I have these shorts in this inseam as well as the shorter inseam and even the pant version. So needless to say I love them! This style does run quite large I would say. I have a small in all styles and both of the other fit great but these ones are a bit big. I am typically a 27 waist for reference - so I go between a small and medium. But I have debated on ordering these in an xs.

I was a little hesitant on the sizing but I’m glad I went with the medium. Im usually in between a medium/large(8-10). They fit just right on the waist, not too tight or loose. For reference, my waist measures 33-33.5 in. I have big thighs and these don’t roll up since they’re a bit longer in the middle. No chaffing in these. I got them in both colors! You won’t regret buying them. Can’t wait to wear them out on a hike.

I love these shorts! I bought them on a whim last summer and immediately went back and purchased another pair after trying them on. They’re flattering, comfortable, quick drying and breathable! I was so happy to see that they returned again this year in more colors. Please don’t ever discontinue the Wasatch Ripstop 5in shorts. I went with my size according to the size chart and to me they fit perfectly. I could probably size down but for this style and look I prefer them to be a on the looser side.

They prevent thigh rub and look cute!

Just received these and wore them for a 2.5 mile walk with zero thigh rub and zero shorts creeping up. The high waist is super comfortable. The curved leg shape is flattering and cute, roomy without being baggy. Basically, most of the benefits of mens shorts but look and feel feminine. If you're between sizes, get the smaller of the two sizes you wear. The side pockets are a little shallow (they would stick out the bottom of the shorts if they were much deeper) but have zippers to prevent your things from falling out. 10/10!

I love my new Ripstop 5" Shorts in black and gold. I'm a curvy5'-3" size 8 and the small fits me perfectly. I love the built in belt and zip closed pockets--and they are feather light. I've been wearing them around town and am looking forward to hitting the trails with them soon!

Sizing is off and material feels cheap

I wanted to love them but the sizing is way off and for over $50 I would hope the material would feel like great quality but the hiking shorts I got off Amazon for way cheaper feel more durable than these. The worst part is to return I have to pay.

I’ve bought three pairs of these shorts. They are great for running cause you can anchor a water belt to the clasp so it doesn’t move. The pockets zip up and I’ve used these shorts for races with no problems. One coworker stated she really liked the shorts, so that anchors that. They fit fine for men. They’re unisex in my opinion.
