Well, I wish I had not read all the reviews on how this jacket is very small for its size. I didn't find it so. I will wear mine with plenty of sweaters underneath as I ordered up and don't want to go through the hazzle of returning this one. Overall the jacket is okay, but not the great quality I would expect from Barbour.

Tough to size right

Sizing and fit is way off. Normally a size 4. Bought a size 8. Shoulders were too tight but torso was ideal. Returned due to not expecting a right fit. It's a shame because it's otherwise a nice mid-weight jacket.

This is a great coat in a beautiful color. I had to size up to have enough room through the shoulders for driving. That made the sleeves a tiny bit too long, but I like this coat so much I'm keeping it! It's also super warm for a lightweight coat!

Barbour has always made excellent quality products. But they dropped the ball on the sizing of this coat!! I’m 5’3” and weigh 105. Usually wear 0-1 . Small shoulder frame. Ordered size US 8. Wanted to wear cover sweaters. It was so small through arms and shoulders that I couldn’t raise my arms at all. Arm width is child size at best.Tried on over a light shirt. Exchange for the biggest size 12 and still very tight across shoulder and underarms. Looks like I will be returning it. Backcountry was excellent with customer service. This is entirely on the maker. All the other Barbour coats I have run true to size. Very disappointed!!

Unfortunately, I had the same issues as many others have had.. Very surprised considering I have MANY Barbour jackets, so I felt confident in the sizing. Have worn a US 14 recently, and there was no way the jacket would zip, and I would need twigs for arms in order for them to fit in the sleeves. So disappointed. Don't think I will order a larger size in this case - not worth the hassle if it still doesn't fit.

This is a beautiful jacket, but I'm returning it because pockets are odd. You can only put your hands in the pockets from the top (of pocket), not from the sides (naturally at your waist). This is just awkward and uncomfortable. Re. size, I went up per reviews. I'm usually a 4 (SP/4P) and the 6 fit well. The Windsor/Brown color is rich and gorgeous. I really wanted to love this jacket!

Beautiful Jacket as you would expect with Barbour. The only problem I had, which many people have talked about was the sizing being so off. I am normally a size 4 so ordered a 4 and a 6 and both were very, very small! Very tight in the elbows which I hate in shirts or jackets. Sent both back and ordered an 8 and a 10. I wanted to be able to layer under. The 8 was perfect with a sweater. So odd to have to go up two sizes, but it’s a fantastic jacket for fall.

Really wanted to love this jacket. The color (dark red) is fabulous. No cool undertone to it. I am 5' 8" and weigh 115 lbs. I normally wear a size US 2. I knew that wouldn't fit, so I started with a size US 4. Too small. Armholes and sleeves were tight. Tried a US 6. Same problem. The jacket isn't very packable - polartec- and it's kinda heavy. Guess I am spoiled to jackets like the Patagonia Nano Puff.

For reference, I am 5'9", 175lbs, I wear a small (mediums are typically fairly loose) on top, true hourglass shape. I have always been a UK size 8 - but I sized up to a 10 for this one. Got it, and it was tight tight to the point where I didn't bother to try to get it fully on. Sized up to a size 16 and that was still very tight on the arms. Going to try to size up once more to the 18 (!) and see if that helps, but I feel like the sizing is just all over the place on this jacket. Otherwise, lovely cut and warmth.

Great jacket, thought I would include my sizing info because I think it's a bit tricky. I'm usually a small, US 4, 34B, 27 denim. The US 4/UK8 I could zip up but I needed to suck in the belly and was only wearing a light layer, much too snug around the midsection, snug around arms, and fit well in the shoulders (I have small shoulders). Re-ordered a US 6/UK 10 fingers crossed it will be roomy enough to wear a light sweater knit underneath and zip up. It's cut in a true hourglass shape.
