Lid does it's job, not a fan FirePit

- I've used it several times
I bought the lid to better utilize the grill function on the BioLite FirePit Plus. The grill lid worked well and did what you'd expect a grill lid to do, hold in heat for more even cooking. I am not a fan of the FirePit though, it doesn't work anywhere near as well as a SoloStove does. The fires I had in it were anemic, had a lot more smoke than I was used to, and the grill surface (the reason I bought the FirePit +) was too small to be very functional. I also don't see the BioLite aging well, after just a couple uses it was showing its age and you have to be VERY careful of moisture with the BioLite. For the money I think SoloStove is a better all-around firepit, however, the SoloStove grill is going to set you back quite a bit of money so if an all-in-one sub $300 "smokeless" fire pit that can function as a make shift grill is what you are looking for the BioLite might be your only option.

Horrid Quality, Obvious Return, Warped, Chipped
This was a Christmas present and something told me to open it because it was retaped. I was shocked at the quality. It was a return that they didn't inspect why it was returned. I could only post 6 pictures, but I have several more spots of bad quality. This is not Biolite quality and if this is what they are making, I will stop buying Biolite (was just about to get solar panels, but I am going elsewhere).

Fire pit grill lid
Fit perfectly. I wanted the lid to help snuff out the fire and make it safer when the fire is not completely out. Haven't tried out yet, but cooler Temps are coming. My fire pit will be my outdoor see through fireplace insert. Will burn half the wood compared to just using the open fireplace.

A whole new thing.
Now you have a real grill. Very easy to make use of your pit other than just a pretty fire. The tase with real wood is amazing and this lid gives you good control over the temps.

Good fit for travel
