Doesn't fit my Spot Headlamp
The battery doesn't not fit my Spot headlamp properly as indicated. It seems to be slightly smaller. In order for it to work, I have to wedge something on one side for it to turn on. Not sure if this flaw has been addressed but I purchased this a few months ago. When I can wedge something to hold the battery in place, it works well and the charge lasts quite a bit.

Wanted a rechargeable headlamp that can also take regular batteries; should be easy, right? I didn't look closely enough, sometimes you just don't know what you don't know. Found a headlamp that I was really excited about after sifting through dozens, reading the tech specs to try to find the ones that CAN use a rechargeable battery but the BD ones don't come with it, so found the separately sold BD rechargeable battery (there was only one search result, assuming the correct one was out of stock and I didn't realize there were multiple types). However, it doesn't fit because the battery compartment has a little battery cradle that makes it incompatible. Additionally there is no port or way to charge it; I guess I would also need to buy an external charger. Will be returning this and the headlamp; it shouldn't be so complicated.

Long Life in the Field, Saves Disposable Batteries
Not sure it will pay back in disposable battery cost but longer life in use makes the rechargeable worthwhile. Also appreciate keeping all those dispoable batteries out of the landfill.

Great product
I work in the field and use my headlamp every night. The Storm 450 is a great improvement from my older Storm 400. The BD1500 battery lasts a lot longer, and re-chargable means the product pays for itself over time.

Perfect for reducing waste.
It is a perfect solution to single use batteries. You can use the rechargeable BD 1500 to reduce waste, but you can also use single use batteries if recharging the BD 1500 isn’t possible. I haven’t put the BD 1500 though it’s paces yet so I can’t really comment on the endurance or durability .
