Great fit

Excellent lid to protect your head!
I finally upgraded from the old hard hat style helmet I bought in 2005. This is so nice and light. The ratchet adjuster in the rear makes it fast and simple to adjust if I’m lending it to anyone else in the climbing party. Rear bungee holds to hold your headlamp in place, along with the plastic tabs!

Game Changer
This helmet has disrupted the price:performance ratio of helmets, delivering outstanding quality and functionality at a very reasonable price point. The interior of this model seems the same as the MIPS model, minus the MIPS yellow insert; leaving some empty space, IMO. I simply filled those spaces in with cushiony Velcro pads from "The Depot" and got myself a sweet customized fit. It has wonderful comfort, super light, looks "cool" and seems like it would take a beating. My only regret is not getting it in my favorite color - Yellow. But with it on, I don't know what color it is anyway, right? Recommend highly!

Capitan climbing helmet

Durability and visible
I got the orange color to be visible in the mountains. As a guide, having gear which can survive regular use while being hauled around and mentoring clients is essential. This is a replacement for a prior BD helmet which had a great, long life. Plan to keep using BD helmets (and much of the rest of their gear) for quality and durability!

Comfortable and Lihhtweight
This helmets is light and quite adjustable. The tightener is not quite as easy as a dial, I find it easier to do when it’s not on my head. I bought the pink and blue and the colours are awesome. Vibrant! Would buy again.
