Slim Fit
I am a very small person and these pants fit the bill for a ski pant that doesn’t seem overly baggy for my stature. The padded beacon pocket is also very nice alternative to wearing the beacon on the harness. These are my new favorite touring pant.

Go-to ski touring, snowshoing and resort skiing pants for Sierra Nevada
These pants are great because they are lightweight, have all the right pockets, fit well, have good venting. In addition, they don't contain PFAS which I love because I like to leave no trace and avoid exposure to toxic forever-chemicals. Have used these for several years on around 200 days of mostly backcountry skiing and they are perfect 95% of the time (on super cold and deep days I sometimes opt for bib pants but those days are rare!). They are also very durable unless you're careless with boot crampons.

Great Softshell Pants
I have worn these pants nearly everyday for the past 2 seasons and ordered another pair after a few tears and holes in places. Highly recommended, plenty water/wind resistant.

Great pants
These pants are incredible for touring. My old pants were incredibly heavy and cumbersome. The Dawn Patrol Hybrid pants are perfect - lightweight and high mobility while keeping me warm and dry. The pockets are especially innovative.

Lack of two hip pockets and low rise waist are annoying
Why are there not two hip pockets, seems like a silly choice based on fashion. I'm constantly trying to put things in a left hip pocket because that's what I'm used to. Every other pair of pants has a left pocket. If I put bulky things in the right pocket they sit under the transceiver pocket, and if that is being used it's uncomfortable. If I put something like a cell phone in the left thigh pocket it flaps around too much. Whether I'm guiding or forecasting I need enough pockets for all the things, transceiver, phone, pit book, ect.. and these pants don't work well for my system. Second I'm 6'4 with a 36" waist, I need a XL for length but need to cinch down the waist. However, the provided webbing belt is thin, the buckle slips and the waist is low rise so my lower back is always exposed, again, seems like a fashion over function design choice, why not make the waist higher at the back and provide belt loops so I can use a decent belt that is wide enough. They move well when touring, and I like that they are not rando racer skinny, but they have some idiosyncracies and I'll be looking for other pants that work better for me.

Best pant
Slightly warmer soft shell that fits so comfortably! Great for at the resort or in the backcountry. I have mainly used it for days I want to ski tour to get where I want to go ice climb and they have worked great

Great pants for touring. It’s
Great pants for touring. It’s been hard for me to find soft shell pants that aren’t over insulated/ thick and fit like a ski pant should. These do! Plus waterproofing in all the areas they should be… Butt and Lowe legs, breathable soft shell everywhere else. Took them out yesterday for a tour and it was 10* at the car and 15* on the summit. Didn’t get too warm or cold with the bd 150g merino wool long John’s.

Great fit
5'10", 170 pounds. Fit is perfect. The stretch and unrestricted movement of the non hybrid Dawn Patrol made it a given to get the Hybrid for powder days.

LOVE
As a small female, I LOVE these pants for guiding. They cinch small enough at the waist to fit, but are baggy which gives me optimum space for full movement, and big pockets. A shame I need to get men's medium to have these features, but I'll take it! surprisingly incredibly waterproof for being "softshell" esque in texture. Fav pants I have.

Great So far.
Seem like great pants. I got them for an upcoming touring trip. What I like so far are: -Lightweight but seem durable -Stretchy - Very Comfortable - The extra padding in the beacon pocket.
