Great touring pants

Love the front pockets, stretch fabric is really nice, gaiters are perfect witdh for ski boots. Side zip are easy to slide with one hand. Instep patches are very large to protect the bottom of the pants. They are really very comfortable even when I add my insulated shorts. My friends want them too!!

Dawn Patrol

It seems like they thought of everything in this pant. The built in waist belt, the protective phone or beacon pocket, venting zips. Lightweight yet durable. I have only been out on one tour, but love them so far.

Piling

I bought these in Carbon and was really excited because they’re light, move well and are well thought out in function. I’m a 30 in waist/40 in hips and the large is nice and roomy but I cinch the waist quite a bit, maybe could have gone medium. Unfortunately the lightweight fabric on the pockets and thighs started piling within a few uses and after a couple weeks of daily use and now they look like a pair of cheap sweats. It’s not a place where my backpack rubs so there’s not a ton of friction, not sure how it’s even happened. My husband has had the men’s version of these for over a year in black and doesn’t have any piling. Slightly disappointing.

I haven’t worn these yet but they fit perfect and are super flattering! I am 5’2” 105 lbs and the xs fits like it was custom made! They are so cute! The fabric and everything are well made, I wouldn’t expect anything less than great from BD. Excited to try these out on my next mountaineering expedition.

Finally! Ski pants that fit and move well in the backcountry

These are excellent ski pants for a day on the slopes or a long tour day - comfortable, breathable - I'll be using these daily.

Hybrid ski pants

I ordered these but had to return them due to sizing issues. I hadn’t used them but they were lightweight and what I’m looking for in a backcountry ski pant -breathable but some gortex in the places that matter. But they are very long. I’m 5’2” and cannot find a a good backcountry pant made for shorter women. These were a good 4-5 inches too long.

Great so far

Have only worn them twice but so far I like these pants. I love that the thigh pockets are gusseted to open *out* to give room for electronics and other bulky items. I like that the waist sits right on top of my hip bones so the pants actually stay up and don't gap. My one complaint would be that the pants still fit pretty snug around the thigh and butt (my measurements are right in the middle of the suggested range for the size too). Form fitting isn't needed in this item and more room for movement and layering would be appreciated.

Can't wait to wear these on a tour! I need to size up. Normally wear small and it would be so snug with anything underneath.

The best pants !

I’ve had these for 2 seasons and I love them. So stretchy, comfortable, they look good. I use them everyday for work up north. I wish you guys would make bibs with like this pants!!! Also having suspenders included would be great, haven’t found them on the website to purchase separately

Great touring pants

These have a great fit- not too tight, not too loose. They are very lightweight so good for spring days too. The cuffs just barely fit over my Zero G boots in tour mode however, and I wish the beacon pocket was more secure like my old Mission pants. In avalanches, clothing can get torn and pockets can get ripped off- I like how the old style pants had an actual harness in the pocket that attaches to the waist belt. I like keeping my beacon in the pocket because it keeps it away from my radio and other gear when ski patrolling. The pockets could also be an inch or two higher, but overall I really like them and I sort of want them in purple now too!
