Whether we're fastpacking or ultrarunning, Black Diamond's Distance Carbon Z Poles support us on the ups and downs without weighting our arm swing. Solid and reliable
Light and strong! All you need. Never have to decide whether they’re worth lugging around on a big day

Light but sturdy
Light to use and folds up small to fit in my pack. I am now on my 3rd pair over 15 years and have walked thousands of kms , mostly on light hilly trails with them. The folding mechanism starts to get sticky and then fail but it is worth replacing with a new pair of poles

Favorite hiking poles!
I'm rather new to hiking with poles and didn't see the need...however I am a total convert. These poles are so easy to pack, lightweight, and add stability and speed to my hikes. I also get some upper body exercise. Love these poles!

Lightweight, packable, great power transfer
Weather it’s an outing with the gals or a 2000 vert quick workout, these poles performed wonderfully. Super light weight. Hardly noticeable. Transferred power to aid in uphill hiking. Packed down quick to stow while scrambling or moving quickly downhill. I loved the fixed length. Took all the guesswork out of adjusting.

Z hiking poles
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 115
I have always used telescoping poles prior to these. Find over time and heavy use they wear out and constantly loosen and slip down while in use which gets annoying. Used these on a 50 mile thru hike they were great! No worry w shrinking and o loved that I could fold and tuck them away in pack pockets on parts of the trail while still walking. No need to stop to put them away or take them out. Compact storage also helped reduce any chance of getting them snagged while stored on branches in thick brush areas. Definitely happy with this purchase at this point. Hopefully they last longer than my previous poles. For those wondering on height chart ( I had to exchange mine for taller ones) I am 5’4 and was happy with 115 for height. Was able to have that level L shape holding them you see in diagram. 110 were definitely too short.

Works for men too
Same as the men’s poles but available in shorter lengths and a more interesting color. Use care swapping baskets as the plastic threads on the pole strip easily

Best hiking poles I’ve ever had
I followed the recommendation of my bf who has had his for years and I’m ultimately happy with these extremely light weight, easy to use poles. They collapse and expand so easily, it makes trail running a lot more fun. Also like the turquoise and the tiny bit smaller handles compared to the men’s size.

Perfect!
I just bought these poles after being a long-time user of another brand. They are the perfect weight, lightweight but not too light to be flimsy or unstable. The foam grips are comfortable and seem to be designed to grab onto them the “correct” way. The poles also come apart and snap back together very quickly and can be done while walking or running. So far I’ve used the poles on a few shorter runs and hikes and an eight-hour mountain run. They hold up really well!

The Best!
My previous pole bent when I fell and couldn't be repaired due to age. The new ones are feather light and the perfect size. Carrying items is painful due to arthritis but these are the exception. Thank you!
