Focus Climbing Shoe
Sequential cruxes demand perfection. Your fingertips have to be perfectly aligned if they're going to grip the hold, in the same way that the Black Diamond Women's Focus Climbing Shoe's rubber needs to be perfectly aligned along the microscopic edge if you want to stay standing. Black Diamond designed this aggressive shoe for this kind of perfect precision, with a slight downturn that edges and grips on vertical to gently-overhung problems and routes. Medial and lateral stabilizer rands keep your foot solid when you're edging, and the single-molded NeoFriction rubber sole won't peel away in the same way that standard climbing shoes do. Black Diamond coupled the leather upper with a odor-reducing hemp liner and a knit tongue for amplified ventilation.

Rubber was too stiff
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Got these and the rubber would not bend at all. Tried wearing them in the shower to break them in. Bore with the pain and tried to climb in them but could never get far. Eventually gave up.

edge wears out insanely fast
got these in December to replace my miuras, they run about a full size to size and a half small to start. They are insanely stiff and uncomfortable which I thought would break in slightly and that they'd be great for edging. The edges were rounded off in a little over a month, and months later the shoes are still crazy stiff. The worst of both worlds.

Sizing seems way off
I wear a women’s 6 climbing shoes in all other brands. Somehow even the 7.5 BD shoes is smaller than La Sportiva size 6 when I hold them back to back. I haven’t been able to wear them on the rock so I can’t say about performance but I’m expecting it’s quite good if I can find my size. Has anyone else had this experience?
