HotWire Quickdraw
Black Diamond designed the versatile HotWire Quickdraw to meet all your clipping needs. Dual hot-forged, wiregate carabiners significantly reduce weight while the larger rope-bearing surface extends the lifespan of both the carabiner and your rope. Thanks to a Straightjacket rubber gasket, clipping 'biner orientation is maintained so you don't waste time and energy fumbling with the gate, and the wire gate eliminates flutter so you feel confident as you clip.

I've been using the hotwire for years!
I really like this QuickDraws, the handling and durability is perfect, not mentioning the really nice anodized colors!

very good well made product. I work as a zodiac driver in polar regions - this quickdraw is great for cliping to other boats.

Black Diamond is always on the cutting edge of function in my opinion. The hot wire gate is easy to clip and secure for quick use.

My favorite quickdraw for sport climbing
I use these as my main draws for sport climbing. I prefer wiregates, as I mainly climb slab or vertical. The Hotwires are light, durable, and have a confident clipping feel. The keeper has just the right amount of stiffness (if you know, you know). Gate action is still smooth and snappy, even after a season of use. As a matter of personal preference, I like the Hotwire's in-hand "grip" feel better than almost any other quickdraw I've used (incl. Djinns, Photons, etc.), save for the Petzl Spirit, which are significantly more expensive. When climbing with both, I found there were times I still preferred the Hotwire. As for durability, my set looks close to new, after over a year of climbing and traveling, and despite catching a share of lead falls. The adonization on several shows minor signs of wear where the rope runs, but that is expected. Overall, at this performance/price point, you're hard pressed to beat this draw!

Sweet draws
Overall super good draw. It’s light enough that you could use it for Chad but I mostly used it for sport climbing. I bought these to add onto my rack and have some longer drawers and have loved them so far. I really like the size and they work super well. This is definitely geared for more of a intermediate climber. I would definitely buy these draws again. I think you should buy these too.

Been using then for five + years now
Lightweight, durable and easy to use. I’ve been using these quickdraws to sport climb and set up top ropes (always opposing and opposed) for over five year. They still look great, no burrs, fraying or any issues with the gates. I went with the wire gates because it reduces the chance of gate flutter when they get jostled around. Overall a great choice in sport climbing protection.

Love the weight and durability. The wires on the gate are sturdy and make clipping much easier. While I would prefer to have a hybrid system, if you are looking to save weight and still have great durability, these are perfect.

Wire gates on both sides make for quick and easy clipping both onto the bolt and rope.

Well, I’ve used these on quite a few sport climbs now and I’m loving them. The gates are at the perfect tension to easily snap the rope through and I like how they are a little longer, it has caused a little less rope drag. Thanks BD!

You get what you expect
Solid build, easy handling. After a handful of pitches, the carabineers are a bit scratched up from the walls but nothing significant. Good bang for your buck
