Great pair of digital gloves!

I love these gloves. And they are liners, technically, but at the right temperature they serve well enough on their own. I have tested them on a morning walk when it was closer to 30⁰, and I have to say perhaps—and for someone who tends to run hotter, generally—that I think these gloves are suited best on their own out the door when it's at least in the upper 30s outside. If you've been walking for a while and your body's warmed up they'll serve you better, of course. Otherwise, using them on my phone is almost just like not wearing gloves, which has been great! And they look good, and provide warmth while being easy to stow away anywhere, they're not bulky. Thanks BD!

Good connectivity

These gloves are warm, surprisingly wind proof and really do have better connectivity for touch screens than any other gloves I've had.

Great everyday winter gloves

Living in New York comes with cold winters, and these gloves are perfect for everyday use. They work great with a touchscreen and fit really well, offering a decent amount of warmth. Around 10 degrees Fahrenheit they do feel a bit chilly but anything above that temperature they feel warm enough. The only downside is not being very grippy on a steering wheel, so driving in them is not amazing. The value for money, functionality, warmth, and design combined make for a solid pair of gloves.

Great midweight glove

Got these gloves because I wanted something that I could wear to cover my hands in the winter when I'm either walking or doing light activities but don't necessarily need a bulky winter glove. I live in Colorado so temperatures vary dramatically in the winter and my hands run on the cold side, but I'd say these are perfect for brief outdoor exposure near 0 °F and ideal for long durations in temperatures around 15-20°F. The screen tap material works amazingly well with my phone, it's as if I'm not even wearing a glove. I normally wear between a S and M for gloves, because I didn't want any loose fingers I sized down to a S. It's slightly tight but still fits great and after breaking in just a bit they. . . fit like a glove (couldn't resist). Getting the wrist part of the glove over my hand is a bit tight and doesn't flex as much as you might expect but still easy enough to get on and fits perfectly once on.

I love these gloves.

I've had a pair for a few years and sadly lost one of them. So, I reordered this year and they felt like home as soon I put them on. The screen tap works better than any other glove brand I've worn. They fit snug, but not tight. They are soft on the inside and unless I am working hard and starting to get hot, I don't even notice I am wearing them. They are perfect for hiking or activities in which I am exerting low-to-moderate energy in cold weather like at or just below freezing (they are too warm for me to run in). I would buy these over and over again, but hopefully I won't lose one and need to buy again because my last pair was still in perfect condition after a few years of heavy use! Side note: The old version had a grip piece added in the palm that I miss, but was not essential.

Scam

If you’re looking at these you’re probably wondering how Backcountry managed to get them as BD no longer manufactures this specific version and the newer one lacks one of the originals best features, the leather palm. The original were the best liners I’ve ever worn and I was quick to buy these as a replacement, but worried the description was wrong asked one of their “gear heads” to confirm they were in fact the originals. Just got them in the mail, they’re not. So not only are they incorrectly advertised in both the photos and the description, but their own reps are misrepresenting them as well. I cannot consider this anything other than an outright scam. Friends have warned me about Backcountry shipping or selling the wrong products recently, and now I share that experience and likely won’t be buying from Backcountry again.

Good, but not the same as the gloves

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
Small

I had previously purchased a pair of Black Diamond's medium weight ScreenTap gloves, which I love. I was disappointed to learn that they were discontinued, and decided to try ordering these liners to compare. To be fair, they are not marketed as gloves. They don't have the extra layer of material that the gloves had to prevent wear. And they do keep your hands warm, but I fear they would be damaged easily if used without another pair of gloves over the top.

So easy to use phone!

I bought these for hiking as I use the phone and Apple Watch a lot while outdoors. Having the entire palm surface and all fingers work with phone makes it so nice! Can use two fingers to zoom in/out and make fewer mistakes since can use any finger. Warm, good fit, sizing is true. Buy them!

Lightweight

These gloves are great and lightweight. The touchscreen compatibility is really nice to have. For 15 degrees or below, I think I'll buy the heavyweight version.
