Why We Like The Black Diamond Ski Strap

From securing an A-frame carry to rigging an emergency sled, the Black Diamond Ski Strap always comes in handy, which is why we have a couple in our touring pack and a few stashed in our car. The stretchy, abrasion-resistant thermoplastic holds strong through heavy use in cold temps, and the alloy buckle matches the strap's grit while remaining lightweight.

Best backcountry tool available

This thing will get you out of any backcountry jam. Very durable and I always keep one in my pack.

A must have for any backcountry athlete

I’ve bought plenty of these over the years, using them for securing split boards in an A-frame, to most recently holding a partners binding together that a plastic piece had snapped off (not one of the half dozen on our repair kits). It provided plenty of tension as a make shift toe-strap to descend our line and get us safely back to the trail head. 11/10, most useful repair item in my pack.

N+1

Who doesn't need another one of these? They hold my ski's and poles, a curtain in the garage, bike wheels to the roof tray after the ratchet broke, dry bags to your bike handlebars; N+1 uses!

Straps

Usually get 4 a season lately, used daily for securing skis to patrol sled, rope's and bamboo, maybe using four together to improvise a toboggan strap, extra splint immobilizer,if you had to it could probably be used as a tourniquet or 2. Many uses, also use them during Summer securing cord's and air hoses. You could probably make a belt by attaching 4 or 5 together.

“It’s a STRAP!” - Admiral Ackbar

It’s a strap. It straps things. Seems to work well so far. Easy to strap down, not a lot of stretch.

The buckle feels well built

The buckle feels well built and the straps have the right about of stretch.

Strap

A multi-use option for skiing, climbing and mountaineering. It is robust and durable, as it should be.

Perfect strap for my repair kit

I purchased two straps to add to my back country ski repair kit and now I have piece of mind that I can use them to get me out of a bind if some of my equipment fails. Stretchy material but also durable.

Straps

Good ski straps. Much better than the velcro straps.
