Lightweight and Powerful
As a professional naturalist guide (for over 25 years), it's important to be prepared and well-equipped on all of the trips I lead and personal trips too. I'm excited about using this on the trail as my headlamp I carry on all of my day hiking trips and especially on backpacking trips. It is lightweight, compact and has a powerful beam that is dimmable. Having a red light option and the ability to lock the light in the off position were selling points for me as well. I've been looking for a high quality headlamp and I believe this one fits the bill!

Improvement over older versions of Spot headlamp
I've had several generations of Spot headlamps. This one is well engineered, comfortable, easy to use, and the rechargeability is nice.

Great for hunters.
I use it in the woods to lightly illuminate my trail. With the dimmable red light beam I can walk in safely, without spooking the animals, and still see clearly. The white light beam, when needed, is marvelous. Don N.
