Wiz Headlamp
Black Diamond created the kid-specific Wiz Headlamp to give young campers and backpackers the features they need to get the most from the outdoors. This Black Diamond LED headlamp provides a long 60-hour burn time, and it turns off after a couple hours, so it won't go dead if the little one leaves it on accidentally. The Wiz Headlamp also has a slightly dimmed light, so your kid can still see well but won't blind you by shining light in your eyes.

Perfect for Young Kids
This headlamp is a treasured item already for my child (2. 5yrs). He loves the ease of use and the many colors this headlamp has. I love that he can put it on upside down and it still tilts fine and he can turn it on and off. If he leaves it on there is an auto shutoff that works well and has been tested multiple times. Overall this headlamp is well worth the price if you have a child who likes to be outside.

Kid proof
More expensive than other kid headlamps but cheaper in the long run as much more durable. Also has more features than other cheaper ones such that get more out of it in the mean time.

Great Lamp, Terrible Packaging
C'mon BD, such and awesome and well thought out kids light except the packaging. We just bout an IBM ThinkPad that came with no plastic packaging and everything recyclable. This light had two plastic boxes both marked "5" which is basically non-recyclable where most people live. BD is an outdoor brand you can do better! and I still love you but c'mon

The kids love it!
I bought 3, one each for the 7yr old, 5 yr old and 3 yr old. They all love them. The color changing option is not useful, but way fun and occupies them when other camp chores require them not to help. The straps are less than awesome, the tail end keeps coming out of the retention loop and ends up dangling. So maybe upgrade the headband.

Perfect!
I bought this headlamp for reading in bed, as my normal one is too bright. The amount and quality of light from the Wiz is perfect for that task, and also doesn’t bother my wife. Win!

Great for the kiddo!
She absolutely loves using this headlamp. She even likes wearing it is a necklace. The fact that it will automatically shut off helps out greatly in saving battery life with little people.
