Whether we're arriving or leaving, the BLUE ICE Moonlight 55L Pack has us ready in minutes. The full-length front zipper lets us splay this pack out to quickly access our gear once we reach the wall, while the front grab handles make it easy to move from route to route without having to rezip the front. When we get the sends we were after, this pack's flat base allows it to stand upright on its own, making it easy to dump all our gear in, cinch the top closed, and head out.

Great pack, didn't quite fit me

I was so happy to see that they finally offered this pack in 2 torso lengths. Got the S/M but unfortunately it didn't quite fit me (I'm female, 5'5", about 135#). Specifically the shoulder straps were too widely spaced and they actually pushed against my arms. I have broad shoulders, but I'm finding that woman-specific packs fit me better. Tried the Mammut Neon 55 Women's and the shoulder straps fit better. Otherwise the pack has great features. It's one of the few crag packs with external pockets (and they are plenty big enough to fit a guide book or liter Nalgene bottle). I packed up my entire to kit and it seems to easily fit a 60m rope, double rack, alpine draws, shoes, helmet, layers, etc. Note that there is no lid--it's definitely more like an ergonomic haul bag. There also aren't any side compression straps, which would be nice to have if you carry a rope on top.
