Perfect for being on my feet all day at work
I’m a nurse who spends most of the day on my feet and brooks are my goto sneaker for comfort. I did the quiz to match me up to which shoe I should get. These are perfect!

I generally use the Ghost but gave these a try and I love them for the added stability.

I like these shoes they’re very comfortable, but I thought they were going to be more black. They’re basically navy blue.

Perfect hiker
I am not a runner but a hiker and road/trail walker. These shoes are perfect for both conditions. I have never worn a trail runner that was as light as the Divide and yet still provides plenty of protection. No break in period needed. These are getting some good miles on them as I prepare for a trip to Yosemite and they are holding up great.

Good grip for snow but stiffer sole
I love my Brooks Ghost 16 shoes but I got these for frosty winter runs. The sole on these have great grip but are a bit stiff in the center front under the ball of the foot, so I get numb toes after a long run. I don’t have that issue with the ghosts.

Definitely a keeper for versatility
These are great hybrid trail shoes. They do a lot of things pretty well for mild-moderate terrain and feel like a road shoe with minimal break in. I found the Caldera 7 to be too boxy and the Cascadia 18 made my third toe go numb. I have worn the Divide for training and in road-to-trail races in good weather conditions and in the rain. The only bummer was performance in red clay- but I was able to release the debris quickly enough with a quick scrape on a tree stump and keep moving. The lugs aren’t aggressive, but this IS a hybrid shoe and red clay cakes on everything. The Divide 5 was an improvement on the 4 with more added cushioning and I keep both models in my rotation. True to size as other Brooks (Glycerin 21, Ghost 15, Trace 3). I hope Brooks keeps this model as it fills a nice sweet spot for its versatility.

They initially fit great and had really grippy soles. But when I wore them to walk, about halfway into my 3 miles, my ball of my feet started burning and I was in pain. The burning lasted about an hour or so once o arrived home.

Very comfortable with great support!
Love these running shoes!! Sole is cushiony and soft. Very light and I feel very supported in these shoes. I first bought my first pair of brooks 2 years ago and decided again to purchase new ones. I bought 2 pairs - divide 5 and adrenaline GTS23. I am a size 8.5 in sandals, 9 in sneakers, boots, pumps, etc. For sneakers and boots I go 9.5 so I can wear comfortably with socks. I have narrow and long feet. These are a little wider fit for me but I prefer this fit for my running shoes so that my toes are able to spread out and be comfortable. However, they fit snug enough and my feet are not moving around when I walk or run. I mostly walk trails, running a little. Very happy with my purchases so far.
