Same great quality I have grown to expect from my Brooks running shoes. I have been running with Brooks Ghost for more than 10 years. The feel is a bit different with the GTX...the upper is a bit more stiff than the traditional Ghost. The shoe tongue is less padded and detracts slightly from the over all comfort. Having the GTX for certain weather conditions is worth the trade offs.

Very very narrow

Very very narrow as all the waterproof ones seem to be. Very sad.

A shoe that withstands snow and rain

Fabulous and comfortable shoe that has withstood all weather conditions because of the Gortex. Comfortable walking all day and night. Great travel shoe.

New design is not for the better

I have worn nothing but Ghosts for years. They were the best fitting and most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I don't know what changes you have made to the Ghost 16, but the fit was very different and really tight through the toe box. The fit was nothing like the Ghost 15 and it's predecessors. I am so disappointed. I can't imagine why you would change a shoe that has been so successful for so long.

Need wide fits

I have worn Ghosts for a number of years. I wanted waterproof Ghosts for wet conditions. For some unknown but probably very valid reason they don’t have a choice of widths. I’m normally 2EE. Therefore I tried my normal size, 12, too tight width. Therefore back they went and ordered size 13. Thank you with a bit of lace jiggling they fit, a loads of room in front of toes. Hopefully they will be alright. Brooks need to produce various widths in Gortex.

Love the water proof material

Very comfortable and perfect for walking around in wet grass. I walk 5 miles every morning and don't have any issues. I wore the regular Ghost 15 previously which was my first pair of Brooks. Those corrected a lot of issues I had with my back and knee.

Great for Golf

Bought a regular Ghost 16 and decided to try the waterproof Ghost 16 for golf. I walk and carry for 18 holes. Great shoes for golf no real issues for traction.

My previous running shoes were the Brooks Levitate and I had been quite pleased, but after many miles, it was time to replace them. I decided to splurge on this Ghost 16 GTX and could not be happier. I feel light and great on my feet, and they feel more supportive on my knees. Very happy with this purchase.
