Ghost 16 Shoe - Men's

No longer are sizes consistent.

Got a new pair of Gost 16 to replace my old Gost 16 and way to small. I have been buying this same shoe for years.

Best Fit Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a difficult time finding a neutral shoe that is wide enough for my foot. Even though I am a female, the Ghost 16 Men's size 9 X-Wide (4E) is perfect. I wish it came in more colors in the 4E width. Right now It is available in Black and in Gray. More colors please!

Incredibly comfortable Shoes!

Love these shoes. They’re the most comfortable I can remember wearing. They feel like I’m walking on air after a nice foot massage.

There's a change to the sole...

I loved my Ghost 15s. However, a single change to the Ghost 16 meant I sent them back. The right foot was a superb fit. My left foot is slightly smaller and was slopping around. The 16s have a slight "bump" in the inside of the sole next to the big toe joint and the interaction caused blisters on the left foot only. Even with the laces really tight. Which is a shame because my right foot was really happy :-)

The toe part of the foot is not stable, seems to be made of plastic and too easily bendable. Bought this for my boyfriend and he wants to return them.

New sole profile creates new pressure point

I have been a long time fan of the ghost, finding it to be truly a perfect shoe like so many others. Every new model that has come out always fit perfectly with no break in period. Well with the exception being the 16’s. The expected quality was there and fit for the most part, except the new profile of the sole that now puts a pressure point onto the side of your foot where there was just mesh previously. I only needed to walk in them for about 5 minutes before I realized it would be major problem with added miles. I understand everyone has a different fit and for many, I’m sure this shoe works quite well. But for now I’ll hunt for the older 15’s and hope the 17’s may reconcile that issue.

Ghost 16

My first Brooks shoes, and I must say, they’re a must-have for anyone on their feet for long hours. Solid support, a cloud-like feel, and pure comfort with every step.

Smaller toe box than in the past

I had to return my Ghost 16s. As soon as I put them on, the toe box felt small and my toes were right up on the end. I've worn the same size of Ghosts for the last 12 years. Every previous pair felt like an old friend. This one was noticeably smaller. I don't want to have to start re-sizing with every pair — especially as Ghosts were so reliably consistent in the past. I'm very disappointed.

Great shoes. Perfect from the first time you put them on, as Brooks always are!,

ive been running in brooks ghost for 9 years. probably have had every model 3 times. this pair (white with orange/ 16's) started squeaking after a few runs. never had them in rain or water. annoying with friends, not a big deal when i am solo. my feet feel more fatigue after runs (4-5mile runs) in this pair than in past ghost models. not sure what that is about, probably have 145 miles on these now.
