Glycerin 22 Shoe - Men's

Excellent upgrade. So far I would give it a 4.5. Great feel, comfortable and roomy. I’m really curious to find out how the tread holds up. Great job by the brooks team. I hope a grey color gets released without a black sole.

Disappointed

As a big fan of Glycerin 21, I was very excited to try on the glycerin 22 as they have much better kind of choices. Unfortunately, I found the shoe incredibly uncomfortable in the arch and across the midsection. I don't know what they did to it but, totally disappointed.

Great trainer, I like it and would recommend!

I was suggested the glycerin 22 after trying adrenaline gts. My Achilles and sole pain have disappeared. Runs are more comfortable. There is a lot of padding around the heel that I think I should have gone up a 1/2 size. However using for a 1/2 marathon today so will see how they go as in all other respects I am very happy with my purchase.

Glycerin 21 v. Glycerin 22

As a 38 year old woman I wear Brooks shoes for my everyday errands and walking my dog. I love a plush, neutral shoe and my go-to model has been the Ghost. This is my first time trying out the Glycerin which is supposed to have supreme cushion. I usually wear a women’s size 13W or men’s size 12D. That’s what fits me in the Ghosts, but I found that I needed to size-up a half size in both the Glycerin 21 and Glycerin 22. In the attached pictures, you’ll find comparisons of the Glycerin 21 and 22. Please note, the 21 (yellow tag) is a men’s size 12.5D and the 22 (blue tag) is a men’s size 12D. Noticeable Differences: - Thicker white sole on the 22. I prefer the less white on the 21. - The white color is a true bright white on the 21 while more off-white on the 22. - The 22 has significantly less padding around the top lace hole and where the shoe tightens across the bone on the inside of your ankle. That area began hurting after just a few minutes of trying on the 22. I can’t imagine why they got rid of the padding there, as you can see plenty in the 21. - I would say the 22 is softer with a slightly more squishy heal than the 21. I decided to keep the 21s since they were on sale and I just didn’t see the reason for the bump in price for the 22s. I like the Glycerin line already, more than the Ghost 16, for sure. The Ghost 16 has a comically wide toe box and quickly begins to permanently crease along the toes. I’m so glad they toned down the neon colors with the Glycerin 22s, but I’d love to see more medium gray, dark gray, and navy. Brooks, you’d make me so happy if you made the women’s Glycerins in size 13W.

Sadly refreshing from my 20s to the new version hasn’t worked out as I have heel slippage issues. Otherwise good shoes

The glycerin 21 are presently the only shoe I can wear working 12h shifts. The 22 are causing pain unfortunately. That being said I still give it a 5 star rating. Excellent design, cushy, everything you want in a shoe. I will be returning these, but brooks makes that process easy and always keeps me happy as a costumer. So it still gets a 5.

Slippery When Wet

Super soft cushioning. Nice fit. Wasn't pleased with the grip. Ran after a light rain so the roads were damp. The shoe kept slipping on push off. So if you are somewhere that gets a lot of rain, I would really think about before buying this shoes.

This is the shoe we been waiting for! Plush, yet supportive! The Primer Grey color is FIRE!!! Great work Brooks team!! NOW DO THIS and the Primer Grey in the STEALTH FIT GTS Glycerin 22 and I will need 3 pair to get me through summer!! LOVE THIS SHOE! True to size! Pick up a pair you will love them!

Great shoes. Smooth on the road but work OK on trails too!

From a picky shoe lover, 100% worth it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try the Glycerin 22 running shoes! These shoes fit true to size. They are super comfy and have a perfect amount of padding and support. Most importantly, they are very comfortable. I like the simple design, it’s just enough but not too much. The fabric feels nice and the laces feel soft which I liked when tying. I wouldn’t change a thing about them. I loved that these didn’t hurt my feet when first wearing them like most other new shoes do. I’m so picky with shoes but these are a win in my book!
