Failed after two uses
Used two times and now the regulator wont flow enough gas to get above a low flame.

Fatal design flaw
I bought the versatop system believing the cult like devotion among Camp Chef fans. Very disappointed that the burner came detached from support after only a half dozen uses. It's no wonder- the burner is attached to thin horizontal plate with two small welds. It detached either during transit and/or was weakened by high heat. I tried fixing with heat resistant epoxy, but that didn't last long. The bummer is that I like the griddle otherwise and this could easily be fixed with a bracket and better attachment. I'm now looking for a replacement from competitors and taking this one to landfill.

Camp chef’s top of the line product
I not only have the 17 inch flat top, but I also have the four burner griddle and the Windward pellet grill. I’m pretty much stuck on Camp Chef because of their quality and customer service.

Needs a hood
Returned it and bought the Blackstone 22 because it has a hood available. Too bad - Camp Chef is a better product. But having a hood makes a big difference in pre-warming and cooking some items.

Proprietary connections
Spent an eternity trying to find a better connection to larger propane tank and after hours I found many solutions for blackstone and zero for this. Its going back and Im switching brands sheerly out of convenience.

Versatop 2x
I’ve used it three times and had it for a month before it basically stopped working. I followed all troubleshooting instructions from their website and it still won’t function properly….I was very excited but this has quickly spoiled my excitement….

Versa-Top Rocks.
This thing rocks. Grilled veggies, smash-burgers, hash browns, all are wonderful. Can't do that on a charcoal grill.

If you have an RV buy something else
I really want to like my VersaTop. Purchased it because it has so much potential for other things. When we are camping in our smaller trailer every bit of room counts. So far we have cooked several great breakfasts on it, and I look forward to trying lunches and dinners. However, it may get left at home this season because CampChef does not include the proper hoses for an RV gas hookup and does not even have them available. This after specifically saying that it would work with low pressure RV hookups. I guess they did not lie, it will work if you can get the nonexistent proprietary parts and then combine it with a hose that costs half as much as the griddle does. And even if we can get the part, who thought it was a good idea to have the gas port stick out three inches from the side of a portable griddle. I’m counting the days before that breaks off in my expensive Camp Chef carry bag that has no protection for the gas port. Long time camp chef user - unfortunately this will end up sitting in the garage since I don’t want to carry a third tank or disconnect our RV tank to use it. Oh, and the igniter does not work. Never has. I just figured that was a given for the overall poor design. Poor design Camp Chef.

Is there an allowable way to plumb the gas connection to the rear instead of the side of the VersaTop 2X? The side connection is not ideal for use with my RV outdoor kitchen.

I have the griddle already that I used on my double burner 14” with legs. I would like to buy one of these burners but do not need the griddle. Do you sell just the burner?

Do you sell replacement valves for the Versa 2X? Does it use SKU #PG14-3NG same as the sidekick? They look identical.

Is there plans to make a liner for the grease trap for the table top griddles?

If the dimensions of the 16 are 25 1/4" wide, what does the 16 stand for? I was thinking 16" cooking surface. Is there a lid for the 16 when using the flat griddle, like the Grill accessory has? Is the included non stick a chemical coating, or natural?

Is there an attachment needed to connect the 14" to an RV quick connect low pressure system?

How many BTUs is the burner? Product description says 18k, but comments say 15k.

Can this be used as a cook top so I can use dutch ovens or frying pans or sauce pots on it?

My camper has a outdoors stove and I would like to change it out for your 14" Versa-top griddle. What would I need to change it over from a small propane canister to my RV campers line? '
