Good cooler but smaller than advertised

It's well built, keeps ice good and the latches are awesome, but it's smaller than the company claims. It's supposed to have an interior width of 9.5 inches. It's only 8.5 at the top and tapers to 7.5 at the bottom which makes it significantly smaller on a cooler this size. Most companies do this sort of thing and it is irritating.
