Work doesn't just disappear when the weather's threatening to turn sour. You're gonna be out there rain or shine, so you might as well give yourself some rugged resistance to the weather with the Carhartt Crowley Jacket. This abrasion-resistant softshell has a Rain Defender finish to repel raindrops when your work has you caught in inclement weather, and a soft polyester backing to give you a little added comfort on chilly mornings. It's also got Wind Fighter technology to block gusty winds, and a Rugged Flex design to help you move how you need to when you've gotta get the job done. There are adjustments at the hem and cuffs to further seal out the weather, as well as a few easy storage pockets, including one large internal document pocket for site maps and field notes.

Rain Defender jacket
Great jacket. Perfect L sizing for me being 5'11" and 180lbs. The shell is very few wind resistant and water repellant. And it seems it will be very durable in the normal Carhartt standards.

Outstanding Shell
Great shell. Sleeves are tight, and about 1.5" too long. However paired with light fleece, outstanding windproof and light rain barrier. Main Zipper and Pocket Zippers are outstanding. Moss green is unusual but very appealing. Overall, really good purchase. Would buy again! Pete in No. Virginia

If You're Tall and Skinny This Is Your Jacket
Jacket is tight throughout the sleeves and they are too long. Not everyone is 6'2" and built like a string bean. I had the older versions of this jacket years ago and they by far were much more comfortable and fit better. I tried a size larger first, and I had just as much trouble getting it on, as I do with the large. The problem with the XL was the sleeve length and the extra amount of jacket around the waist. The lining doesn't seem to allow you to put it on over your clothing without extreme friction. I definitely prefer the older version of this jacket.

The jacket is absolutely water AND wind proof. Warmer than you'd expect. Went outside with it in 30 degree plus weather instead of coat. In the frigid zero and below weather, wore it under winter coat as added layer. I was truly alot warmer than I expected. I highly recommend this jacket. Im going to get a couple more very soon. Did not like the side draw string loops which got caught on alot of things on my belt and out in public. The jacket's only weakness in my opinion.
