A Stylish Homage

A good tribute to Detroit Jackets of older times. It's not a J97, and don't expect it to keep you warm in extreme cold, but that's not the point. It's a heritage design with the corduroy color, duck canvas outer, and t shirt like liner on the inside. Outstanding jacket for those sort of cool Spring/Fall days or a nice evening outing. Not necessarily the most functional piece in your Carhartt wardrobe, but it'll be one of your favorites based on the style points alone.

Cool Jacket

I love the jacket. From the look and style. It's big enough to wear a hoodie underneath in colder weather.

Husband loves jacket

My husband loved this jacket for Valentine's Day. He uses it as an extra layer when it's cold outside so he'll usually have a hoodie underneath. He says he loves that he can lay on the ground or move or do whatever guys do while working and the quality stays intact.

DoNot buy

This jacket is stylish, but the quality is poor. The lining material inside is very bad. After wearing it a few times, the lining pocket fabric has already come undone? made in India, and this is unforgivable for a work jacket.

The perfect, versatile jacket!

My son Max had this on his "wish list" for a long time - he was aware of the high quality, and once he received it as a gift for his senior pictures outfit(s) we both noticed the great fit, quality construction, and overall *awesome-ness* Anything that meets the high standards of a high school senior and his mom... we are going to be loyal Carhartt customers for life. Max layers it over his flannel, wafflle-knit shift, and/or a hoodie depending on the weather (we live in Iowa). It's the perfect length to wear while driving (compared to my winter coat, which makes me feel like I driving in a sleeping bag.) Max is 6'1" and 230 -- he got the XL Tall. At first he wanted to switch to the Regular, but now he knows it's good to keep those wrists covered when he's scraping off his windows in the AM.

I ordered it black. It's a little short but it's absolutely gorgeous ??

I have been warning this coat (Detroit) since 1973. It was my go to for working outside. It's not same as in the past but I glad to have another one

Less than ideal, not a work jacket.

Size M This jacket is not made for work. The shoulder and arms are "re-engineered" and are much worse fitting than the original jacket. The arms are tight and don't allow much movement, the sleeves are almost humorously long with giant cuffs at the end that aren't practical to roll up and are generally uncomfortable. I went out on a limb buying this because of the new color and have tried hard to like the jacket given the price, but it is one of my least favorite products I have ordered from this company. For an around the town or standing still jacket it's fine, still awkward in the fit? but for any amount of ranch work or labor, you will be uncomfortable, and constantly bothered by this jacket.
