Why We Like The Castelli Climber's 4.0 Jersey
Built for speed on the summer’s toastiest days, the Castelli Climber's 4.0 Jersey provides us with the airflow and rapid cooling we need to ride at our best through the summer heat. This jersey combines the CFD-based seam construction we know from the Aero Race 7 Jersey with aerodynamic 3D mesh fabrics to keep us cool without sacrificing speed. Though form-fitting, the Flusso 3D and StradaPro 3D fabrics are stretchy and soft, allowing the jersey to move with us as we move in and out of the saddle.

Castelli Shrunk The Sizing
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I have three of the Castelli 3.0 Climbers Jerseys in size Large, the new 4.0 Climbers Jersey is much smaller in the same size Large. As always, I size-up for Castelli, and the prior model 3.0 Climbers jersey fits perfectly, race cut, snug fit, good overall length. The new 4.0 Climbers jersey is supposed to have the same fit, but it’s much smaller, and shorter. The fit across the torso is still acceptable, but it’s nearly 2 inches shorter than the 3.0 version. I’m not a tall guy at only 5’ 9”, and the Jersey is barely long enough, with a very high reach to the back pockets. Taller riders will have a real issue with the fit of this jersey. I added a photo of the bottom hem, with a blue 3.0 jersey behind the white 4.0 jersey. The length difference is substantial.
