Padding in the wrong place

After my first ride with these gloves, I was so disappointed. So were my hands. The placement of the padding assumes that you never use the middle of your hand to grab the handlebar. I tend to relieve my hands by changing my grip slightly from time to time. The padding is inadequate to accommodate this variation in grip. Also the stretch fabric used on the back of the glove, while comfortable, tends to shift around. I would return these, but I cut out the tag already. đ

As soon as I put these gloves on I was immediately impressed with the quality and comfort. I had been wearing PearlIzumi gloves with gel padding and the padding on these Castelli gloves provides more cushion while being lighter weight. The material on the back of the hand looks like delicate lace but feels strong and provides great ventilation. I like that these gloves appear to be specifically designed for women. Iâm converted!
