Nano Flex 3G Knee Warmer
Castelli was an early pioneer of water-protective thermal fabrics, having recognized just how beneficial they are for cycling applications. Don't assume these knee warmers are exclusively for rainy rides on wet roads, however, as the water-repellent fabric is also highly breathable, making them a great option for cooler dry days, too. The best part is if the sun comes out, you can easily slip them off and stow them in a jersey pocket, unlike knickers and full-length tights.

This is my second pair of Nano Flex knee and arm warmers. They work great down to about 50F as they have a fleece interior and water beading exterior layer. They aren't water proof but they do repel water for a short while. They are warm as well, perfect for a cool day but not cold enough for full on winter gear. However, like the other review states, these last about a season or two at most, the fleece lining begins to fall apart over time, and not just due to use, it just falls apart. Not immediately but maybe after a year of use.

disintegration
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These are warm and offer good coverage, but the nanoflex coating wore off after a year of light use. This results in an entire external layer of urethane-like particles coming off in a sheet -- it looks awful, the particles get everywhere, and the water resistance is shot. Same thing happened to my nanoflex knickers, though it took longer.
