Nano Flex 3G Leg Warmer
A good pair of leg warmers will give you that extra bit of warmth you need to stay comfortable on chilly spring and fall rides, but unlike full-length tights, you can easily slip them off and stow them in a jersey pocket when cold mornings transition into mild afternoons. These particular warmers use a water-repellent fabric that prevents light rain and road spray from soaking through, but are also highly breathable, making them a great option for dry days too.

Good for the Seattle WA area
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- X-large
Fit is good and seems to keep me dry and warm in light showers. I have about a 36" waste, and 30" inseam, and I wear size X-large in Castelli. Back in the day, I was a Cat 2 masters bike racer.

Castelli Leg Warmers
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Bought these a few wks ago given the coming cold months in New England. Worn them once on a 10 miles ride in 35-40 degree weather. Warmers were plenty warm enough but continually migrated down my thigh ending up below my knee. Pulled them both up a few times to as high as they would go on my bid shorts - still ended up down below my knees. Ended up buying bid leggings from local bike shop....Size: large, I am 6'1" 181 lbs...

3G NanoFlex is better than predecessor
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This is an improvement from previous generation NanoFlex which I soaked through on a rainy ride last year. I threw water on these and it beaded up and fell off. Sizing is fine. I have XL and generally use XL in Castelli, Assos and Craft. I need 2XL in Castelli tights for my long legs/shorter torso 73.5”, 200 lbs frame. They were not too short for me. I tried putting Nikwax Tx direct waterproofing on the old ones, but it didn’t help. Happy trails; hope this is useful.

Castelli Nano flex Leg warmers
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Just wore these in 40 F weather here in CT. Kept my knees/legs reasonably warm. ISSUE is these slid down from the top of my thighs to below my knees after 6-7 minutes of pedaling! Pulled them up repeatedly and they continued to slide down past my knees! Yes, these are sized correctly as I am 6'1", 182#, bought size XL. Very snug at calf and snug on my thighs but continue to slide down my bib shorts...Very frustrating, would not recommend these. thnks

Warm and comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Normally, I am only motivated to write reviews of merchandise that I truly love or hate. That's the case here. I love these for their comfort, fit, quality, and warmth. Additionally, as with any cycling cold-weather gear, it is important to be able to peel it off and stow it as the day warms up. In this part of the country, we ride the entire year. In spring, fall and winter we are almost always COLD at the start and often HOT at the end of the ride. That's why these are a more practical purchase than insulated knickers or insulated tights -for me anyway. Others have complained about the zipper rubbing a sore spot on their ankle. I have never had that problem.

Deserves their reputation...
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Castelli gear isn't cheap. But I've tried a lot of leg warmers over the years and none do the job as well as the Castelli Nano Flex 3G. I have three pairs (rotation) and they're my "go to" accessory for mid-Fall to late-Spring. Sure, if serious winter temps arrive, they may not be enough, but last year nano-flex warmers got a workout Nov-Mar. And I especially appreciate how well they stay up too. Entering my second full season with them...
